Great app

I have access to radios from all over the world and a page with my favourites. I have had little to complain during the past 9 years of use. A few times I had bad connection and sudden crash but these were very rare. Overall, this app has had excellent performance and brought me a great deal of joy.

Screen off - sound off

The latest update (December’24) brought an irritating feature: the moment your screen goes off, the sound stops. I loved this app for giving us visual ads that did not interrupt the mood like audio ads do. It seems that they wanted to have us stare at the screen non stop while listening to the music. I made my choice. I deleted the app altogether. Shame. There was a balance for both sides for a while…

Lose connection

Great app but..

Love this app and listen constantly. However… where has Calm Radio gone to? I listened to calm radio baroque but its disappeared off the app. Disappointed.

Excellente app!

J'ai testé 3-4 apps et c'était la meilleure! Bon design, simple et intuitif. synchronisation parfaite des favoris sur l'Apple Watch, j'écoute les stations en faisant du sport. Il est possible de chercher les stations par leur code, c'est pratique pour trouver exactement ce que l'on cherche. Possibilité d'installer la version iPad sur le Mac 👌 J'écoute les stations aussi en travaillant. Si vous aviez une version Mac ce serait l'idéal je crois. Et si l'on pouvait se connecter à un compte pour profiter de l'abonnement sur tous nos devices et que les favoris soient synchronisés. Je teste votre version gratuite un peu et je pense bien m'abonner si la bonne expérience se poursuit, belle job!! 🙂

Radio turns off when switching to other app

Program works well, however i like to do work or read news while having music in the background. Minimizing or switching to another app stops the radio. I hope this use case is developed to a user story for next update. A great example is the VLC player which allows you to do that.

Solid app, lacks Google casting

Had purchased a year license to this app a couple months ago because it allowed me to cast to my Google nests, but then earlier this week I noticed that feature was replaced with AirPlay. Tried to ask about it over email a few days ago but didn’t hear back.

There was always some significant lag when casting, but was worth it at the time. Bummed to move on again.

Edit - They fixed chromecasting. Still some lag initially when casting, but still the least bloated, most user friendly, and least expensive radio app I’ve found. I only listen to one station for the most part, and this works great for playing it on my Google nests.

Not pickup up a risk FM/AM signal

This is purely an online based radio gathering app. Meaning it does not have access to live radio frequencies, majority of radio stations online have delayed programming or recorded therefore you won’t be able to catch a frequency live.

Thank you for keeping us informed about your experience. I’m very sorry we failed to meet your expectations. Phones can't pickup AM and need an FM chip installed to play an FM signal.
