Hi there, sorry to hear you had some difficulty with set up. If there's anything our team can assist you with, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at info@ridewithgps.com.
Nearly Perfect
Works well, gives me the information I need. Only one little problem in that I have trouble getting voice announcements for heart rate sometimes.

Better mapping than “other” GPS Ride App
After being a paid subscriber to the other main race/adventure cycling app, I became frustrated with its mapping tools. You can create routes easier on the desk top but cannot adapt pre-existing rides from other users on that platform. Inversely, on the phone app you can easily find pre-existing routes but cannot adapt them. Plus, with my transition to gravel rides out of the city, the off road mapping is poor.
Ride GPS mapping is better, but still needs some work. The routing regularly gets into a funk and just outright refuses to let the user create a route. The creation by “lines” is equally finicky.

Brilliant route planner
Nothing else like it. If you are used to planning routes on pen and paper, the app will make complete sense to you. There is also an amazing route library available, much better than Strava when it comes to this.
Lost Rides
This app has a bunch of bugs. If you start recording a ride and then close the app before it realizes you’re moving, the entire route will be lost. It will simply record the distance as the crow flies from point A to B. There were other instances whereby other rides were lost just due to the app glitching. Frustrating. The auto pause is a nice feature though.

Running feature
I love Ridewithgps! Just wish it could track my running too. :(

Not impressed
As a very regular cyclist over many years I’ve explored a range of gps options. I find the functionality of Ride with GPS really clunky and unreliable when compared to market leaders like strava. I find the mapping less user friendly also.
Gross
I paid $9 for online navigation for a ride I just did. That turned out to be fairly useless. Then after the ride I found that it started recording my ride when I downloaded the route at my house, 20 miles away from the starting point. I looked for a place in the app to trim it, found nothing. Then googling led me to the trim feature on the desktop version of the website, and lo and behold, they want more money for that “premium” feature. No thanks! I was able to deliberately start and stop my ride from my garmin watch, so the recording is accurate on a superior service. And guess what, if I did forget to stop my watch, I would be able to trim the activity without being extorted for more money! Posting this one star review in hopes that I can do so without having to upgrade my subscription to ultra premium gold for the privilege.
