AMAZING except…
I think the whole only getting a chapter a week thing is ridiculous. I mean, if I buy/rent/borrow a book, I’m most likely going to read at least several chapters in each sitting. I get access to the WHOLE book, and can read at whatever pace I want, without having to worry about paying money I honestly don’t have on each chapter if I want it sooner. I think that a better method of the creators getting money that would improve a lot of people’s opinions about this app would be for consumers to pay a reasonable (for both parties) fee up front, and then get unlimited access to everything. OR you could have to pay a subscription fee each month/year/whatever like how a streaming service works. OR chapters would be available once a day. That would be a MUCH better schedule, if it can’t be unlimited access.
THAT BEING SAID I do love this app. Seriously, having so much access (though much more limited than I’d like *side eye*) to different stories that I can enjoy, is really wonderful. I’ve been using the website for various stories for about a year, needlessly putting off getting the app, but now I finally have it, and have since found many more stories, all of which I am absolutely loving.
It’s a really great app, I just wish it didn’t have the constraint of buying new chapters or waiting a week for them.

Hi there! I love this app, but for some reason I can’t sign in. Like, when I put the “hide email” option, then put in a password, it says “system error”. I don’t know what this is, but I think sometimes it creates an account but I can’t get into it👁️👄👁️. No joke, because I went into the email thing before trying to make an account (again) then it came up with an option of a saved password or email thing, I pressed that, then tried to proceed but it said “check email again”? I have tried so much, but I don’t know what to do anymore. (Most the time I stay signed out but I kinda would like to sign in).

I’ve been using WEBTOON since the longest time. I find myself staying up late or waking up early just to binge read. It’s definitely addicting and a big recommendation.
Great app with good comics
I've enjoyed reading comics on this app for a few years now. the interface is largely intuitive and the comics are good. But recently the ads have gone too far and there are big green pop ups at the bottom of the screen saying things like "Read next episode for free" that don't have any option to get rid of them, nor do they disappear with time. It's annoying at best and obnoxious marketing at worst. There are better platforms than this that I will switch to if this isn't fixed. Also you guys have recently added a new update where you list episodes up the top of the page that are behind an adwall. You list them like they're normal episodes, stop it. it's annoying and manipulative. It makes it hard to find the updates and episodes that I can actually read and I'm using webtoon to read fewer series now because it takes so long to sift through all the things that have 'updated' but aren't actually available to read

DISSAPOINTED
Alright , so I got this app a few days ago because it seemed good and I saw the school bus graveyard everywhere . So I read it and read it because it was so entertaining and stuff but then when I get to a specific episode I then have to pay for coins to continue ??? I mean I get it there’s no ads and stuff but why do we have to pay for coins ?? I mean I was really proud of this app until that event . Now I can’t get past it , the only thing I could do is try search up the episodes and read them online but that would take some time right ?
So please , the creator or something .. could there be a free trial or something to let us continue for a period of time ?? Because I really liked webtoon and reading the stories but this just turned it around 😒

Love the app been an account holder since about mid 2016 it has great stories and the daily pass and such isn’t as bad as people make it out to be only down part is some daily pass series have about 3 episodes that you have to pay for.
I’ve titled my review as ads because I’ve been reading daily pass series and watching the ads but the ads sometimes don’t load to completion or don’t close when it’s time to and I have to close and reopen the app then REWATCH the ads is this just a problem with my phone/wifi or is it the app

Good but annoying
There are amazing books and it’s very fun to read and all. But it’s very dumb that you need to pay to read the last episodes. it is also very annoying, all I wanna do is read not buy coins!
Would recommend, however..
Normally I would give this 5 stars. It’s a great app, no ads, no hidden fees, just pure entertainment. I would recommend this for anyone who likes manga or anime. However, although there is no ads or fees to join, personally for me (and many others), the daily passes drop the rating. Overall a great app, missed me with the daily passes.
I would like to mention that since the app is free to use with no ads, they have to find a way to make money, the point is, every app, website or program that offers something that costs the creators (including paying their employees and making a profit) will need a way to make money, so appreciate what you have.

NO MORE DAILY PASS FOR UNFINISHED/NEW WEBTOONS PLS
I was reading through the reviews and realised a lot of people hate daily pass. I hate them too although I don’t mind them on finished webtoons. I honestly don’t understand why you guys thought daily pass on NEW WEBTOONS would be a good idea. Like, ‘Wow! The readers sure are gonna love this one!’ PLEASE STOP YOURSELF. How about this? Why don’t you guys let the daily passes stack? Like, after a reader uses the first daily pass, let the ones after stack so that missing one day doesn’t push them back. Just an idea.
Also didn’t the fast passes once cost 5 coins? Good old days fr. I mean, I get that y’all need money but, come onnn. Money shouldn’t be a problem to you guys! There’s like soo much new webtoons like everyday. URGHH I HATE DAILY PASS.
No complaint on the webtoons themselves, though. I don’t care if it takes a while for the chapters to upload because I know drawing stuff is hard. So I don’t let uploading times get to me, although most of the readers do (judging by the comments lmaoo).

great stories
I recently returned to this app to read again since i have so much free time since its spring break for me. The stories on here are wonderful, but there’s just a issue. I said i recently went back to this app and the reason why i left it for a while was because of the wait time to read an chapter that needs to be unlocked with coins. The wait time is just ridiculous, 68 days just to read an quick short chapter? I get that it’ll shorten as you read and wait for the chapter but just to read something i could read in a minute or two i would have to wait two months for. I know you can get a free pass or you could just buy coins but i really don’t want to waste money just for a few minutes of reading. Also free passes aren’t even that helpful for the same reason. I also think it’s quite unfair how you start with 0 coins. I think new readers should be provided with at least some coins. I get that you need money and readers to be a great app but it’s just the wait time to read a chapter. At this point some people are just gonna go online just to read a free version of a story without any pay or wait time. I know there’s plenty of stories to read but i’m not quite so interested in most stories. So i really focus on the stories i need to wait on. I’ve tried moving onto other stories but again it’s the same problem. I have to wait again.
