  • Good but not great

There is a lot of awesome things about this app. It transfers drawings for the most part, still requires editing and cleaning up. But, one of the things that bothers me though is having to hold the square down to draw and fill in multiple squares. I can see why it could be helpful to have a toggle, but I wish it was a setting I could change. Additionally, when choosing dmc thread, the sort doesn’t save, so you have to go in and re-sort how you want it to be the next time you go to find a color. Additionally, I wish I could choose what symbols the thread use, but haven’t been able to find a way to do that yet, hope they can continue to perfect it!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll see if I can get some of those improvements in the next update. Can you send an email to support@adamscoolapps.com with details on how you would prefer the setting to fill multiple squares to work so we can work out a solution? Thanks! UPDATE: In version 3.09, the "hold the square to draw" has been reworked, the sort order now saves, and you can now select which symbol each color uses. Enjoy!
  • I love this app

The ease of use and the many functions. I spend many hours creating patterns from scratch and would love the back stitch, french knot and diagonal stitch added to it to make it the best app for creating cross stitch on the iPad.
  • Just bought

Learning but looks like it does a good job. The pictures show the chart pattern on one page. I understand the color key is on a separate page but I would like the actual chart to be all on one page please.
  • Cross Stitch Creator

Are there any plans to print the pattern in colour? I am really struggling to read the chart as it is in black and white.

There is already an option to print in colour. On the PDF preparation screen, there is a switch in the bottom left corner called "Colorized". When that switch is on, the PDF will be created with each stitch in color and the symbols on top. If you're having trouble reading the chart, you can also pinch-zoom on the content to increase the size of stitches at the expense of needing more pages.
  • Great design tool.

Wish it had different stitch types, however this is a very easy to use cross stitch designer. Update with the option to use different stitches and this would be 5 star.
  • Decent enough app but missing a lot for the price

The fact that you can’t do fractional stitches, back stitching, or French knots is quite a pain. I feel as though these things are crucial to the cross stitching craft.
The ability to copy/paste sections would be amazing and save so much time.

You also can’t name patterns with symbols as it results in an error and you lose the entire pattern.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Can you reach out to support@adamscoolapps.com with details and/or steps to reproduce the issue of patterns disappearing when naming them with symbols? I'd like to fix this in the next update if possible. UPDATE: As of version 3.07, the app will prevent you from creating patterns with slashes in the name since that's what it has trouble with. From what I could find, all other characters/symbols worked just fine.
  • Great app and great customer support!

I just downloaded this app and am super impressed. I was even more impressed when I contacted Adam with a feature suggestion and got an almost instantaneous response. I’m using this app for weaving and it is saving me tons of time.
  • Can’t change grid

No customer service contact in app help section.
The app has setting to change the grid, but the thick black lines every 10 squares won’t change. If I need a cross stitch grid 16 count, I can’t change these 10 count lines. Also the grid is too dark on a saved pdf pattern. The app don’t have select and mirror element feature. Wasted money. Could use pixel art maker instead.

Thanks for the feedback. There is a contact us button on the More screen instead of in the Help section, but I will put one on the Help screen in the next update. The app doesn't have select and mirror features because the editor (in its current state) is meant mostly as a way to clean up generated patterns - the create from scratch option mostly only exists because so many people were asking for it. Adding more features to the editor is on my TODO list, but it will take me a while to get there. UPDATE: As of version 3.07, there is now a Contact Us button in the help section, as well as settings to allow you to change the thickness of the gridlines so that they're as dark/light as you'd like.
  • Extremely limited

This app is basically un-usable. Limited controls with no explanation on how to use, no tutorials. Complicated and frustrating. A waste of $10.54.
  • Great Despite Bugs

This app is great! The only issue I have with it is that some pictures won’t upload. Most pictures upload fine, and when they do, this app is fantastic. It would be nice to have an account to save my patterns so I don’t lose them if the app gets erased or I get a new device.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce these bugs. Can you send an email to support@adamscoolapps.com with more details so I can investigate further and fix them?
