Terrible

I downloaded the app and it added data logs dated in the 1970s, the app doesn’t let you delete this random data. The app doesn’t track time properly and consistently looses Bluetooth connection.

Useless

This thing immediately made the pump stop reacting to pressing the button. For whatever reason the pump just crashes and the only way to turn it back on is to first plug it in. As soon as I deleted the pump from the app, all the issues disappeared.

Close to being a great app

It would be really great if there was more control of the pump from the app. For example the ability to set a “pump routine” for the machine to run by. For example, a power pumping session or set the vacuum level to stay at a certain level.
The app itself is quite glitchy with dates and times getting a bit scrambled. There always seems to be intermittent issues with connectivity between the app and pump. But these are minor annoyances and by no means have me looking for another app.

Doesn’t work

In theory it would be great to track pumping sessions since the sonata I bought was Bluetooth. But the app doesn’t work at all. Freezes every time you click something and then loses your pump session. Frustrating to say the least…

As a first suggestion, I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling it as that can get rid of small glitches and make sure you are using the latest update. big time glitchy

i get what this app is trying to do and for that reason i will keep using it, but it’s incredibly glitchy. the major ones i’ve noticed (currently only using it for pumping) are:
- sometimes switches from ml to oz without me doing anything
- deletes pumping sessions randomly
- sometimes saves everything from the pumping session except the amount (says zero) and i have to go back in 2-3 times to update the amount
- the most annoying one by far is that sometimes the timer doesn’t stop once i press stop. it shows both in live activities and in the dynamic island at the top of my iphone screen. i can’t figure out what i’m doing to make it do that because i stop my pumping session the same way every time (ie. where in the code the problem is) but the only way to fix it is to delete and reinstall the app. please fix!!!

This has such potential to be amazing, when I am pumping and connected to the app as long as I stay in the app while pumping it stays connected and tracks everything, but I pump for 30 minutes each time and I enjoy playing my game or reading and it loses connection from Bluetooth, which needs to be worked on as it then doesn’t work correctly. There are just some little bugs that really need to be fixed and it would be a great addition to nursing and pumping mamas

Helps to track but has glitches

Im happy there is an app to track my pumping. However the app has glitches. It will go from ml to oz randomly, when inputting the amount of milk collected.
The feature to allow notifications also glitches, the app just keeps going on the phone even when you are not pumping. Make sure not to allow notifications otherwise the only way to stop it is to uninstall the app.
It would be great if these glitches were fixed.

Unreliable

The Medela app is unreliable as it constantly loses connection to my Bluetooth Medela Freestyle pump, making it difficult for me to track my sessions. A recent update has made the issue even worse.

Doesn’t work

This app is pretty frustrating. It’s filled with a bunch of fluff - virtual assistant that is useless, pump history that doesn’t work (mine has over 50 logs of pump sessions from 84 years ago??), doesn’t log actual sessions that I am doing even though Bluetooth is connected, can’t find how to edit anything in the app… useless just useless.

Hello Unhappy_user123321, sorry to hear you are having problems with our app. Please don't pump with low battery as that resets the pump's clock which creates the problem of sessions being saved in wrong years. Do you save the sessions after finishing them? Which pump are you using? Please send us an email to intappsupport@medela.com to help you troubleshoot

Glitchy

App has gotten quite a bit glitchy with recent updates. It has happened many a times o was unable to input how much I had pumped bc the app froze or simply wouldn’t not cooperate. Sometimes another session would begin when simply trying to log my session. Other than that I like that the app starts when you start pumping so you don’t have to try to coordinate starting the pump with the app manually.
