Fulgaz-see the world
I started out on Zwift, but found myself a little tired of just being an avatar in a CGI world. I still ride on Zwift sometimes, but more often on FulGaz. I like the fact that I can say “I think I want to ride in Italy today” or sometimes I just want to set a mileage limit, so I look for rides of 20-25 miles. I like that I now know more about what the world looks like by riding there. I know a little about what the Canary Islands or Mallorca look like, and feel like. Four stars, not five, for the following two reasons. 1.) automatic uploads to Garmin would be so nice. Having to download a fit file, copy it to my phone, then upload it just feels unnecessary. 2.) I do not use the structured workouts due to the fact that they have to be ridden in steady mode, which is inaccurate for keeping track of mileage and elevation gain which I track in Garmin Connect. I do like the fact that if you buy a year-long subscription you get “Family Sharing” for free. I let my son-in-law ride on my account, which has been fun.

Realistic riding
Think this is as near to the real thing as you will get. Great for getting you through those days that you can’t get outside ( or like me when you’ve left it to late and it’s getting dark already). Cycle all over the world without leaving home - I’ve now added many places to my bucket list of places to visit ‘for real’ after using FULGAZ. Good Fabebook community too. Works well with Apple TV ( and anything apple- can’t comment on other tech). I’ve worked my way through most of my Wattbike free trials ( don’t need any credit cards for this free trial - you just sign up and ride ) and think this is the one I will sign up to.

Fun App
Video and function is awesome. Totally fun and challenging to ‘ride’ interesting places on nearly every continent.
One drawback : the training programs for FTP improvement, climbing improvement… etc. are less than scientific and rather sloppy as compared to other programs like Zwift or Traineroad. Definitely could use an upgrade perhaps written by an exercise physiologist or cycling coach.

Buggy and crashing
I’ve tried many virtual cycling app and this one is, by far, the worst in term of stability and connectivity! Crash often right in a middle of a ride... Avoid at all costs
FulGaz is awesome
FulGaz has taken me virtually all over the world this year! Whilst everyone has been craving to travel overseas again I’ve been able to get fit whilst seeing so many interesting parts of the world. It truly is a scenic tour whilst getting fit - forget the cartoons FulGaz is fantastic.
The new system
I had over 3 years on a fantastic fulgaz app with a permanent set up of Tacx Neo 2T and iPad, playing on a TV screen. Then fulgaz altered the app and I have not been able to ride successfully since despite updating turbo and reloading the app. Connecting to both my trainer and HR monitor at the same time was intermittent. In “Reactive” mode going uphill, I was spinning like mad and going at 2mph. I tried several times since the update but it never worked properly. The last time, it seemed a bit better but froze at the end of the ride and the only way out was to delete the app and reload it which meant I lost all my downloaded rides. So I’ve cancelled my subscription and found another app which is very reliable. Why, I wonder, was the brilliant old system ever changed into something not fit for purpose.

Outstanding customer support
I have been using FulGaz for several years on my Wahoo KCKR Bike. Love the ride feel and the great videos. Customer support is fabulous. I recently had an HDMI hardware issue with my second monitor. Even though the problem was not software related, customer support was quick to get back to me and was strategic in helping me identify and remedy the issue. Great customer support for an already great product!

So much potential but…
I do want to love this app but I can’t. The videos are almost always excellent and theres a great variety of rides. But the app itself is buggy and the interface is unintuitive (eg need to go through - or manually skip - steps of connecting trainer in order to look at potential rides or ride history). Doesn’t really seem to be designed with much of an eye to user experience. That said I will stick with it for a bit longer with the hope of further improvements.

Hooked
For someone that usually wanes after a few months on new exercise regimes still going strong on FulGaz after a year with measurable health benefits and having fun whilst getting there. Thanks Team FG!!!!!
2 years going on 3
Love this app. One it three times at least a week and personally find it far more fun with the realistic videos and the uphills to match the real world climbs, than the video game style apps. Currently getting into interval training through Training Peaks and being able to push the workouts onto any FulGaz ride of my choice was seamless and real bonus. Also enjoy doing the different events/tours they have.
