Unclear ticket validation
This app took 10 minutes to set up, and is not functional. The app says I have a valid ticket, but the inspector’s machine said otherwise. I had to pay a fine as a result of this app’s use of confusing dark patterns. Avoid using if possible! Even the ticket inspector was apologising that it was so confusing, she couldn’t figure it out either.Show lessMatt_Matt_Matt_Matt

I registered with a valid credit card and I’ve been completely unable to purchase a ticket! I’ve tried numerous times to go with the text verification. I have tried tapping my valid card to the phone. Nothing works. I either get a error or no response.
Trying to purchase tickets before heading to Budapest… what a nightmare!
Clearly, they are constantly getting hacked and

This App will not work below ground in the Budapest Metro! The App also does not prove an off-line verification of your validation of any ticket purchased in the App. So, even though you validate your tickets purchased in BudapestGo before getting on the Metro, when you get off, the “inspectors” will target tourists and demand to see your validation in the App, which will not show up. They will the demand 12,000 HUF ($35USD) in cash on the spot as a “fine.” It’s a scam and they know it. Good luck getting your money back. As soon as I turned a corner near an exit and got connection, boom! My validation appeared in the App. I went immediately back to the scammer/inspector, but she had fled. Her partner of course pretended not to know anything. Solutions. Do not reply on the App below ground in the Metro. I went to customer service and reported the incident and they are aware of the connection problems below ground. So you know these “inspectors “ know exactly where to stand and go after tourists. The money goes in their pocket and they disappear. Instead, use BudapestGo only above ground and if you have to use the Metro, purchase a separate, paper ticket and validate it through the machine so you have proof.Show lessCurry222oooooy

While the majority of passengers experience no issues using the app underground, individual problems may still occur. Allowing you to buy any ticket available via credit card and having it on your phone without printing is supper convenient.
Inspectors have checked my tickets and worked flawlessly.

Sorry for the inconvenience! We had an issue regarding the purchasing, our colleagues have solved the problem. Please update the application, the latest version of the app is currently fully available for digital ticket and pass purchase. In the previous version of the app, you can buy from the list of recently purchased tickets available in the shopping menu above or from the list of used tickets! You can still use your already purchased ticket or season ticket without any problems. If you're having a problem with the app, please record the error using the error reporting interface that appears when you shake your device. Thank you for your patience and understanding!I like it!
I was surprised how quick and easy this app is. I just buy a monthly pass and don’t have to worry about a paper ticket. I scan the QR code when I get on a bus and a cute graphic appears. I can see the developers try to make this app simple and user friendly and I think they did a good job. Many Hungarian websites and apps are difficult to use but this is a surprisingly well designed app.Show lessEvenSteven66

Thought that this would be an easy way to get a train pass for visiting Budapest; started correctly by having Sign in with Apple.
But then, started asking for way too much info for a train pass, as well as a third party site for credit card instead of Apple Pay.May1143
