Inaccurate
I have been using nPerf for years; however, I will be deleting it as the video tests have been highly inaccurate lately. The videos load completely and don’t begin playing for several seconds so the app rates the streaming portion of the tests as poor, this has been consistent even though by data speed is nearly (or greater) than 1 GBPS and I have 4k quality streaming with my plan. Perhaps they are being paid by other carriers for higher results?Show lessIndyjack22

The App/website map is not up to date
I decided to use this product so I could test at my various locations and add them to them map and see them. But the app hasn’t been updated with new info since 7/23, which at time of writing this review is 2mths.Jes_1s
Install to find out what the premium subscription is for??
I’m no stranger to nPerf and have several of my own servers running. It would be nice if this developer would spell out a few things, for example:
What features are limited (if any) without a premium subscription purchase?
Does the premium subscription purchase affect the tracking of performance data, collection, sharing, etc? In other words, does the subscription afford one the ability to perform tests with privacy?
Is there a mechanism to use one’s own nPerf servers for testing, and if so, is THIS data tracked and recorded as well?
In trying to find a testing app that provides data privacy for test results, there are just too many free apps (without ads even) and no IAP because of the lucrative market for the metrics. (I’m assuming this anyway)
Some clarification in the description on the function of the premium subscription and how it relates to privacy would be especially appreciated.

Tracks your location even when opt out and uninstalled
I didn’t get what I wanted out of this app so I uninstalled it. Now I find that even though this app is no longer on my iPhone, it is still tracking my location (iOS 16.1).
I re-installed it to deny location services, but iOS still reports it as tracking my location. And it’s ALL the time.
Not good, dev. Please exclude devices that have uninstalled your app from data collection.Show lessadamfarah

Network coverage
This is not an actual network coverage map. Its not accurate and is basically just a map of drivable roads that have good service. The network provider maps are more accurate.r3myb

Thank you for using nPerf ! You are right: the coverage map is not intend to be an actual one but a "community" one as the information is provided by nPerf users only (on Android version). The more user use it, the more accurate the map will be ! :)
