Truly a great translation and learning app!!
Hands down the best translation and learning app I've used. Buy the Premium subscription. You will not regret it. One small improvement would help greatly, though. The app advertises a listening feature—the microphone icon—to help users hone their pronunciation. Depending on your settings, you may have to enable that feature separately on iOS. However, the Reverso Context preference pane doesn’t expose a toggle to enable the microphone. If that were fixed, this app would be perfect.

Amazing for learning linguistical nuances
I LOVE this app. My partner is Brazilian and I have been trying to learn Brazilian Portuguese and I have learned just how much contextual difference there is in certain words and how much it can change the whole sentence if you don’t realise! The Reverso app not only helps me learn but it helps me communicate with my partner’s family by checking I’m saying the right thing 😅

i love using reverso because it let’s you apply context to the translation as well as giving you real life example of how to use a word when it’s in another language - both of which are things that big translation apps like google translate lack. if you’re serious about learning another language, reverso’s the way to go. it’s basically my bible. i’ve recommended it to all my friends and family i don’t shut up about it👍🏻

Amazing app
This app is amazing and way better than google translator. Easy to use, with a friendly interface. There is also the possibility so see the conjugation of the verb which I find a really handy feature
Odd translations
Mostly the app works well and I really like the “quiz” feature. Also like the pronunciation checker. But some translations are just plain wrong. I’m native English, B2 level Italian learner. Some Reverso sentences have words one side that simply don’t exist in the other language. Example: “il gelido vento notturno” is translated as “the cold night” when it is clearly “the cold wind”(albeit a nocturnal wind). A translation app is no good if the translations are wrong.

Reverso and Brainscape are absolutely invaluable
I use Reverso in French and English, exclusively on my iPhone and then save phrases to Brainscape as flash cards (also in iPhone). My system works very well. Both apps are HIGHLY recommended.

thanks for your comment. You can also use Reverso app for flashcards. They are not as sophisticated as some specific apps, but are well integrated and work quite well.
Best language app!!
Seeing the words in context, is an incredible way to learn the meaning, in a much deeper way than simply translation, but the real advantage to this for language learning is that it keeps track of the words that you translate and automatically creates quizzes that are really intuitive and help you to remember the words that you have learned. I’ve used all sorts of Apps and for intermediate to advance. I think this is absolutely the best!
