Accessibility to controller
Software support is horrible…. Your update 7 months ago has made accessing my controller a pain. Have to turn off wifi to connect. If you leave the area of the main Wi-Fi access and enter a room with a eero you are no longer able to directly connect or stay connected to your controller. This problem was not there till you made the update. I have been running 3 eero’s in my home since I bought your system 2.5 years ago and never had a issue. How about you fix your update. This problem affects the app on iPhones, Samsung phones and iPads.

App Not Finicky
As any tech gadgets, if it’s not setup correctly or using garbage network to support the traffic those connected devices needs, you will have a very bad experience……. Please don’t blame the system, blame the installer or not enough budget to buy an enterprise network to handle the system needs…… As you can see, the reviews are one star or 5 stars, the one star reviews installed on a budget, and the Five Stars installed a Pro with great network and cabling and programing to match the outcome

Terrible
This app is absolutely awful. Randomly works. Eternally spinning wheel. Can’t control items. Our smart home people installed this. Google is better. For the money paid for the smart home systems you think there would be a better app. Added my blinds and it looks so bad. Google home is better!!!
Terrible App
When it works it works but after 3 or 4 times accessing it it doesn’t connect and only does if I restart my iPhone. How maddening is this when waiting to turn on or off security system. Etc. Only app this happens with so thinking it’s not my phone.
There must be a better way!
When it works it’s ok. When it doesn’t it’s impossible! I actually can’t figure it out and need to call the company which doesn’t help on the weekends when I use it.
HORRIBLE
The ELAN system is atrocious. DO NOT BUY IT!! You will pay way more than you should be paying and it rarely even works. If you even want to click a button, you have to click it about 10 times for it to actually click the button. It is so frustrating. It won’t record if you turn off your TV. Also, has a loading symbol all of the time and the connection goes in and out. And you might say, “oh this must be a problem with your wifi.” Well, it’s not. We have brand new wifi and the fiber internet, all of our wifi works amazing. It’s just the ELAN system that is horrible. Do NOT buy it. It is HUGE waste of money; compare it to dumping your money down a drain. And, it doesn’t even work. I would pick 0-stars if I could. Awful.

Frustrating - have had for years and only gets worse
The app has trouble loading and usually takes multiple attempts. When trying to review camera footage it will constantly crash and then you have to start over. If you attempt to save a camera clip, you can’t do anything else until the clip saves or it will cancel it out and you have to start over. Attempting to manually scroll will through footage will sometimes switch you to a different camera completely. The delay while manually scrolling through time makes it almost impossible to actually review footage. Automated light settings eventually stop functioning and have to be redone. Turning lights off/on will not work consistently and will usually leave lights on a dim rather than off. Talking with my tech guys they say to just use a computer but that defeats the purpose since I would have to be at home if using my computer. It’s very frustrating to use and had I known better, I never would have installed the Elan system at all.
Newest update to the app seems to have removed its ability to view camera on any device that has a VPN turned on. May 1st 2024

Not bad
I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews about this app. it just do what it’s meant to be done. The only complaint, but I think it’s because the limitation of the controller internal software, it’s because it never remembers where you left from when you reload the app.
A Nice Interface
Been using Elan/ Nice home automation for years. I find the app to be intuitive and responsive.
Smart home - just ok
We use this for our home - I’m not sure with all the resources why they don’t improve this app- frustrating to use.
