No compatibility with iPad Apple keyboard

I am very frustrated. I paid for a yearly subscription specifically because I am able to use my iPad with keyboard to create documents. After updating to iOS 14 I can start a sentence in a new document - then the on screen keyboard pops up and I can no longer use the physical keyboard, rendering this useless to me.
I have emailed the developer and have not received a response. I would appreciate an update or I want to cancel my subscription. Please respond.
Update: still extremely pleased with app
Update: This is one of the best purchases I have ever made for an app. It is fast, full-featured, and clean. Now has Mail for the laptop and it is the best mail app I have used. Keep up the great improvements. Thanks Developers.
