Great app
Been using app for the last 4 years. Great app but with the new updates, I don’t like that the search bar has been removed from the tabs for artists and songs. There’s also no scroll bar so to find a song it takes a while to find. With the old version, I could use the search bar in the songs tab which was much more efficient.

Just Can’t Leave Well Enough Alone
I’ve been mostly enjoying this app for years, as the sorting and customization made it a viable alternative to Apple’s own rigid music app. However, it’s beyond frustrating to have your carefully tuned settings ripped out from under you and features taken away completely by random updates and then force you to try and revert them as closely as you can.
The most recent, done at some point last week, no longer allows me to display all of an artist’s songs in chronological order while maintaining the album’s song order. Without it, I can no longer enjoy an artist’s portfolio without losing an album’s song order as intended. The recently added tab was also a nice and welcomed feature when it was added, but is now gone completely. I won’t pretend that updates like this have completely ruined the app for me, but it has made enjoying the app much more of an uphill battle than before.
The bottom line: I really want to like this app and award it five stars. Please reconsider these recent changes. Situations like this are why I’m wary of automatic app updates.

Absolutely indispensable
For the last I don't even know how many years, the stock Music app has been getting more and more confusing, Cs Music is a breath of fresh air and I don't know what I'd do without!
Great improvement on Apple standard ‘Music’ App
I bought this app a long time ago and the developer has continued to keep it up to date and bug-free. I mainly like the way I can ‘swipe’ to next track - something that Apple has never implemented in its native app.
The App is very much a ‘skin’ over Apple Music, but it does such a good job of making me able to use Apple Music more naturally. Apple seems to have forgotten their core principle of making apps that just ‘work’ and I am so pleased to have found this App that makes my music listening experience so much more satisfying again

Latest Update is Rough
I really have loved this app historically speaking but the latest update makes it very difficult to recommend. Pretty much every action is a few extra clunky clicks further away from where it used to be, and basic quality of life design is surprisingly less common than it used to be (it’s way too easy to skip songs accidentally now with the new setup, scrolling takes an age now that the alphabet scroll is gone, etc). Add in the fact that it’s been getting stuck thinking you were still listening to a song that was playing half an hour ago if you don’t leave the app open, which had already been happening but has gotten even worse with the update. I used this because it was easier and nicer than the built in music app (despite the fact I couldn’t edit playlists from this app, which is apple’s fault, not the developers but is just an extra hassle), and now I’m very actively considering just switching back to that. Hopefully it improves, but until then you might be better sticking to the default sadly.

Thanks for the review. Make sure you are using the "Alphabetical" sort option if you want the side index. "Default" sometimes sorts items alphabetically as well, but not always (i.e. albums and playlists that have specific default running orders). Other feedback noted!
Now the native music app should be
The interface is amazing. Straight to the point and easy to navigate, which is how it should be for those of us who still maintain a local library of music. I really hate the bloat in a lot of music apps these days. The latest version is awesome, highly recommend and thanks to the developers for maintaining an app like this, despite streaming being the most popular method for music listening.

Superb
I’ve been using this app on an iPhone for years. It’s wonderful. Rock solid performance. Keeps your Apple ‘Music’ app playlists, cloud music. local files, is totally customisable, doesn’t keep nagging you to rate it, looks good,… and it just works. Controllable from the Lock Screen… and when you reconnect via Bluetooth (like when driving) it recognises it and picks up from where you last left off. Highly recommended.

Still, still awesome.
Back again to say just how much I appreciate this app after all this time. It allows me to listen to albums and really concentrate on the work of an artist. I understand why Apple Music is the way it is, but I also need something similar to an MP3 music library. A place without distractions. A place for my music collection. This is that place. It’s also the reason I have Apple Music, no other app seems to allow this sort of third party facility.

Quit apple music + (Vancouver April 9 2024')
All those Canadian Francophone Singles of the Week for (0.00$ CND) back when Jobs was alive...suddenly came back to me, thru this device and yeah i had the McIntosh (sp) player but more love was put into this app.
Yes i cut the cord music all my Francophone FREE singles of the week came back to me McIntosh software became irrelevant but
