Terrible Experience
Used to love Deviant Art. It was easy to browse and refine by category, search within a category or style, etc.
Now half my feed is AI “art” (which I thought I’d found a buried setting to disallow that on my feed, but now I can’t find that setting anymore), no matter how much I try to refine and tweak what I see. Beyond that, it’s just a mess and feels really disorganized and hard to navigate the app (and website). Settings aren’t where you think they should be, filtering search categories doesn’t work, but worst of all is the community just feels dead. Sure there might be some exchanges in the comments, but things like art trades, real feedback, challenges, goals, etc. just aren’t happening anymore… but maybe that’s just a me problem.

My art is being wrongly labeled as "mature content".
I haven't posted much on my account in two months and didn't really have any issues with uploading my artworks until now. I simply wanted to post a work in progress drawing of a redraw of a Five Nights At Freddy's character and it was a half body. I've constantly tried to find a way to upload the art by trying to crop half of it and changing tags but it still continued to be wrongfully labeled as "mature content". I am becoming very infuriated because I, for one, do not post any mature/suggested content onto my account, and secondly, I do not review such imagery on the app let alone have the tab to be able to search for it due to not being 18 yet. I cannot believe I am being unrightfully censored for only trying to post a work in progress drawing that has nothing to do with any mature themes.

Lousy app!
Why not improve app like artfol or inkblot involved ui and ux design and everything! It still keep lousy and not get better or improve at all. DeviantArt on internet is better but on app is worst. I don’t understand complete opposite between internet and app. Stop being lazy and good enough on app! Please do better edit and improve it as awesome app! Malicious intent
Do not download this app, ever since I provided this service with my personal email my phone has been experiencing many issues, and every app that I open on my phone has been either crashing or logging me out of its system, I can’t even access content on a variety of apps on my phone that’s been on my phone for years that haven’t had any issues until I provided this site with my personal email, I have a feeling that my information has been compromised by this app, and I strongly encourage others not to download or give this site any of your personal information whatsoever, furthermore when attempting to log into other websites online it refuses to take my original email I’ve been using for years, my information has been compromised by this app and if you give it your personal information such as your email which is required of you to use it, chances are yours will be to, please beware and stay far away from this app.Show lessnansndgdv
A dumping ground for Ai pretend art.
I used to love DA however now it’s a soulless barren place when people churn out 50 Ai generated images and post them constantly it’s not worth venturing on there . I had an account but found every true artist is leaving.
The app crashes when you try to read notes and messages from buddies.

This app crashes constantly. Hopeless.
And the website, the simple job of which is to display images - not exactly pushing technology very far - doesn’t play well with iOS Safari at all - we can’t see the full image or zoom manually!iphonehighfivingfanboy
Not working
Tried to upload a digital piece but couldn’t without either resending verification or changing email address. Tried both, none worked. Deleted the app and moved on to something elseJaybazley
Missing features and constant crashing
This is definitely the most convenient and streamlined way to use Deviantart, posting art and searching for it is easy and feels good. But for some reason incredibly basic features like being able to create galleries are just flat out missing for no reason. Also there’s a horrible crashing issue that’s just never seemed to get fixed, I can’t open my own profile on the app because it crashes instantly and I can’t access the notes feature either because of the same crashing problem. I’ve uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, updated my phone, etc, and nothing fixes it the crashing issue that makes it borderline unusable. Just use the mobile site instead, the minor conveniences this app brings aren’t worth it until they fix it.Show lessLookerWho
