  • Leaves me wondering

This product leaves me wondering what I would do without it, and why more people don't own one! For the weekend warrior chef (want to be!) that I am, the app and scale make a recipe a breeze to get through. Letting you know how much more you need to pour in and what to do next. It's like baking with grandma!

  • Worth every penny

I'm giving this app a 3 because it is definitely a great app to accompany a great piece of hardware, but there definitely is some more work needed. There was word about being able to add in your own recipes, but that didn't go anywhere. A better recipe categorisation would make a huge difference along with more variety.

  • Great app!

Great recipes and really easy to follow along with the drop scale! Best invention for foodies who have little cooking knowledge!
  • Dubious....now a convert!!

This was a big gamble when I purchased for $140 AUD...but it is totally worth it! Accurate, easily converts metric/imperial, tare button fantastic...would definitely recommend, and if mine broke tomorrow (now 2y old) I would replace in a heartbeat!
  • Drop scale review

Love these scales & app. Very user friendly and recipes are simple to follow.
  • Brilliant

Fantastic for finding new recipes and great that it shows you substitute ingredients for ones you don't have/can't find. Also good that it will recalculate what you need when you are short on ingredients
  • Enjoyable and easy to use

The step by step breakdown with accompanying pictures, the ease of locating receipts and the ability to adjust ingredient amounts makes this my go to cooking app.
  • Great UI

Even without the drop accessory, it's still easy to use.
    Great customer service too
  • It's good but still needs work

    Hi,
I just purchased the drop kitchen scale yesterday and so far it works well. However, a couple of observations... I must have purchased an older boxed unit cause the instruction in the box tell the user to download and install the "Drop Kitchen" app but when you search the iPad store you won't find the app with these instructions... I found the app by searching for "drop ltd" and found that the app was "Drop Recipes" by Drop Ltd.
After that setup was very easy just follow the steps the app steps you through. I had some minor problems repeating the setup on another iPad and an iPhone which appeared to be a pen app/Bluetooth problem. I had to make sure the scale had disconnected from one iPad before setting another.
One thing I find irritating is pushing the button on the scale as putting to much pressure on the button physically pushes the scale down lifting the back of the unit off the bench... releasing your finger allow the unit to slam back down on the bench... very annoying.
Next observation is the iPad app, unless I've missed something, the iPad app only works in landscape mode for the scale function and the recipe function... I have my iPad on the kitchen bench plugged into a stand in portrait position. So although the app works it's annoying that it doesn't switch to portrait mode.
Other than those points it quite a cool gadget so far.

    Cheers

  • Version française SVP

Très pratique mais à quand une version des recettes en français?
Il semble qu'on travaillait là dessus l'année dernière... Merci!
