  • See saw is sht

Take my advice and DON’T USE IT. This app is easily the dumbest home schooling app ever. I was using in primary school and throughout lockdown and it was very infuriating as when you are trying to drag text boxes it will extend them instead of moving them. You also have 1000’s of notifications on your device and your work isnt sorted into folders. Also i was reading other reviews and many people were saying you can’t record video longer than 5 minutes. Overall review:0/sht out of 1/10 Edit:also when your teacher lets everyone in the class see each others work kids could cheat. Maybe you can ket kids see each others work after they completed their work. Then i might give it 3 stars

  • Great app. Few suggestions.

Hi I have a few suggestions!
I would love the option to mute notifications on a few classes as I would like to have notifications on one only (I have multiple classes linked as I am exec and have access to multiple classrooms)
Another would be a feature where parents can choose the option to block or hide other parents comments on their child’s post (divorce). The only solution I have found was to create a whole new profile for this student and upload work twice (too time consuming) I would love if there was an option for both parents to be linked to same child without interacting with other parent etc and their information is uploaded once only.
Other than this it’s a great app!

  • Seesaw is is the best app for on campus and online school

This app is just amazing, easy to understand, and easy to use and handle. Unlike Schoology, posting assignments doesn’t take minutes and just automatically posts the assignment or image. It very easy to use, given how compacted it is and isnt just a bunch of slides that are 8 PT and cant even be read by people with eye conditions, and I’d say is just really recomended for schools since its very easy to set up, and it’s really not fustrating sisnce it never failed me once during 4th grade, and just a good way to start socializing.

  • Thanks for Saving My Voice!

Home learning has brought many changes to the way we teach and of course some are going to stay even though we are back face to face.
One example that stands out is recording my voice explaining what is to be done in a writing activity or maths activity or any other subject! This saves me from repeating myself and constantly reminding others to be quiet all at the same time instead of allowing students to get on with the task at hand at their own learning pace.
After verbally (and unvirtually) presenting the activity to the whole group through an engaging warmup and explanation, the children can then gather themselves, their books and iPad, dice, pencils and so forth, put their headphones on and re-listen and view at their own learning pace to parts or all depending on their needs.
The post will have not only my voice speaking in a warm calm tone, but any pertinent resource such as a worksheet, video or list of writing goals which I also read out in case they are struggling with reading.
Instead of a sharp and raspy classroom voice, I am soft and encouraging and completely able to be heard! Who’d prefer to listen ti a sharp tone? No one of course!
And, I get to save my voice!
A classic problem of teaching is losing your voice from straining to be heard in a busy class of 25 people.
    Problem begone, thank you Seesaw!

  • Seesaw is stupid, TEACHERS PLEASE READ

Hello! Those of you who think Seesaw has a perfect Instagram- like setup, and super fun and easy, you are wrong! Seesaw is annoying. The computer Seesaw is better than the app one, but they are still stupid. Teachers, kids are allow to make random videos. Just imagine the inappropriate issues your trouble-making kiddos would do! Plus, there’s no preset comments. Those trouble-making kiddos in your class could swear or hurt someone’s feelings. It also encourages kids to sneak and watch classmate’s videos instead of doing work. There’s no way to ban video making. Kids reading this, you don’t want to have Seesaw, it’s little-kiddie. The grade ranges that do enjoy it is K-1, 2nd+ just hate it. Schoolagy (did I spell it right?) is more ages 3rd grade + and is perfect! It’s harder to make videos than just tapping a button, and you can like videos. Kids have fun doing that. Teachers can also make great videos. Teachers, if you prefer Microsoft Stream, when you are showing your students how to get to it, there will be a little button in the corner to view the video on Microsoft Stream! Teachers, video making on Schoolagy (if I didn’t spell it write, I’m sorry) is amazing. Do scratchy sound issues like on Seesaw. If you are a K-1 teacher, use Seesaw (it’s the best you got) Thank you for reading

    Developer Response

Hi there! It sounds like your class may be having some problems with students posting inappropriate content. As a teacher, you can turn on the ability to review all posts before they become public to prevent unapproved random videos from appearing in your class. Teachers can also turn off students' abilities to make comments on other student's posts. If you have any questions or need some suggestions on how to set up your class settings, please check our Help Center or contact us at https://help.seesaw.me/hc/en-us/requests/new.
  • Important note the the editor

I clearly state that you need an improvement that know one ever wanted to say. Why is it that you can only upload images one time and have to wait so long for another? I want you to make that app able to let you upload anytime anywhere. Because right now I need to finish my class activities or else! I don’t take this as a joke, seriously. Please let us upload images anytime anywhere. You already have responded to others so respond to mines please so we can do activities without app problems and also fix when you upload something the screen goes blank! It’s all white. This is extremely important or am just gonna feel like why did my teacher used seesaw to upload images when you only have one chance. So make us able to upload images whenever we want. That’s what I just need for the app. Make sure to read this carefully! Bye!

  • Seesaw Is Laggy

I know this may be just me and I know it’s a great app but whenever I try to do maths it literally just lags me and I have to wait like for an hour for it to just go on that page so it’s hard to finish it . Sometimes you don’t even know if you moved the part so it just happens to be a big waste of time .

I’m a Year 4 Student and it just pisses me off when this happens . However , seesaw is still a great app , even if its laggy or doesn’t allow you to pick the same colour because of the colour tool .

  • Behavior Management

I really love how engaging Seesaw is for the kids and how many options they have to show their work. The ability to add voice instructions to assignments are very helpful, especially to us who work in Hawaiian language immersion. I wish Seesaw had a resource for behavior-management like ClassDojo, where they accumulate points depending on their behavior. If there was some way this platform could incorporate that, that would make this app the BEST! The “Skills” resource is extremely valuable. That is what separates Seesaw from the rest, being able to give the students quantifiable and qualitative feedback on specific standards.

This Is the second time i am writing a review and I still wish that seesaw would add a behavior management resource to show the children and parents how they have been behaving. I do appreciate some of the updates made to editing and creating activities. I would appreciate if the activity didn’t change so much when I create it on my laptop to when the students work on it on their iPads. The dimensions differ I imagine and then certain text boxes move
