Please update for modern devices

No real updates to this for a long time now and you have since released the Korg Keystage. Neither Module or Gadget respond to aftertouch which is a key selling point of the new controller keyboard. Please update the organs to have their drawbars controlled externally, include aftertouch on some synths and can we please have more of the gadget sounds in Module. More poly, splits and layers would help too. iPads are much more powerful now than when Module was released.

Hello. Thank you for your message. We have shared the feedback about aftertouch in KORG Gadget and KORG Module with the developer team. We hope you enjoy the KORG Module. Best regards, KORG App Team

Excellent instrument sounds!

Excellent instrument sounds in a resource light wrapper!! My only “issue” are some of the default settings. For example, I highly recommend the Premier Cello IAP, but it’s default ADSR do not do it justice. Make some adjustments to the Attack and Sustain and you can get some beautiful realistic sounding bowed cello sounds. KORG Module Pro may well be the best set of 3rd-party instrument sounds available on iPadOS. If I could only have 2 instrument plugins, they would both be KORG. Module Pro and iM1 workstation in an iPadOS app.

Good practical app

This weekend I’ll make a lot of money by setting up my main rig for a wedding reception and then playing the ceremony with a midi controller, korg plug key, this app on my phone and an amp. The other choice would be to play my 61 key synth for the service but considering the tunes I need to play, that’s not practical. I’m to old to lug an 88 key Nord back and forth through a crowd. I’ve played several gigs with nothing but the korg app and the above. Korg plug keys aren’t easy to come by but if you keep your eyes open you’ll find one.

Not what it could be

I have had a few Korgs over the years and it’s great to have these very Korg sounds for midi playong. But the app could be so much better, split screen is needed, and it struggles with other apps in background. If you play a YouTube and at the same time try to play along a nasty delay is introduced, then a restart of the app is the only solution. Also changing patches via midi and other triggers like paging thru too many sounds too quickly can cause the app to not output any volume. Sometimes it’s weirdly altered the output level, other times it’s just cut the sound. A bit risky for on stage this app. Btw I have an iPad Pro with plenty of grunt , all the other apps I have can cope with multiple apps in background but Korg module pro can loose its way.

Awesome MIDI Virtual Instruments and Sounds!

This app has:
1. A very well-designed interface
2. Excellent instrument sounds!
3. Two states: AUv3 and stand-alone.
4. Amazing IAP expansion modules of instruments, sounds and FX
5. A light footprint on resources

Be sure to check out the stand-alone interface. It has a few features, which aren’t available in the AUv3 plug-in.

KORG have some of the finest sounds available between Module Pro and iM1.

I highly recommend KORG Module Pro as a MUST-HAVE if you’re creating / producing music or background soundtracks.

The Premier Cello is a fantastic sounding IAP module!
Be sure to adjust the ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) to get the bowing or plucking kind of cello sounds you’re after. Module Pro is a very versatile tool.

App not loading when using AUv3.

This is a really good app, and l use it every time on GarageBand, but right now I'm experiencing an issue with Module Pro not being detected in AUv3. I'm currently using the app on my iPad Pro 12.9 5th generation on iOS 18. Every time I load my song in GarageBand and attempt to use AUv3, it would tell me that Module Pro isn't installed on my iPad, despite literally having the app on my device. I restarted my device, deleted the app, and reinstalled it, hoping that it would resolve the issue, but unfortunately the issue remains. I'm hoping there will be an update for iOS 18 soon.

Module Pro Now Crashing

After using Module Pro in my professional keyboard rig for over 4 years, the program has proven itself unreliable due to regular crashing. The program will freeze on my M1 iPad Pro forcing me to close the program and reopen it, sometimes in the middle of a gig. There is also a frustrating problem with it not remembering set list edits, even though I constantly save my set lists, sometimes newly added songs disappear. I am looking to drop Module for a more stable app.

After being promised a two months ago that an update addressing these serious problems was “imminent”, the program is still losing songs and crashing during gigs. I suggest that you look elsewhere.

How to Load Expansions on a 2nd Device

For the person who was unable to load a purchased expansion pack on a second device… In Module Pro (and many other apps), you can't always proceed as if you are buying the expansion on a 2nd device w/ your Apple ID. You may need to do a "restore" to force the 2nd device to check for purchases. In Module Pro, you go to the Store page. In the upper left corner, there is a "Your Items" button. That opens a pop-up window, with a "Restore" button in the top left. Tapping that should recognize the expansion packs you purchased on your 1st device (and add them to the list below). You may also need to do a "Download" step after this, either there or via a button at the bottom of the expansion's display in the Store (I don't recall).

Disappointing

The stock piano sounds are underwhelming and inferior to any decent portable stage piano. I downloaded a trial of the Ivory piano expansion but it never showed up in the app, even after downloading it twice. There also doesn’t appear to be drawbars to adjust the organ patches. I guess you need to buy an expansion pack for that.

I am annoyed that I spent $20 on an app that is so limited. The organs and EPs are much better in Apple’s Logic for iPad. Logic is more expensive, but it provides the control and sound I expect from a professional app.

Hello, Thank you for your message and sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding the Ivory Piano trial, could you please check the following steps? - The Ivory modules are very large in size, so please ensure your device have enough space available. - Inside Module app, go to "Store -> Your Items". Locate the Ivory item, click "Download" only once and wait. If after this procedure the sounds still not available, please reach us in the support channel and our team will be glad to help. https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new We're looking forward to see you trying the Ivory Piano and other modules.
