Ok In Europe
Hi I have used this on my travels round the world. Europe, Canada, USA, Hong Kong, India (although I wasn’t driving!!!) and now South Africa. It was great when walking the Camino in Spain. Helpful and accurate in North America. In Hong Kong and India it was useful to know where I was but I wasn’t driving so no problem. I’m now driving in Cape Town and I stopped using OsmAnd because it was taking me off main roads and into not so nice areas and then directing me the wrong way up one way streets. Adding time to my journey and not to mention the extra risk. Not very helpful.

Hello. We are sorry you experienced difficulties with the app. Could you please send us the coordinates of the start and end points of your route, so we could check it? You can check the coordinates of the point by making a long tap on the point on the map and choosing Description in the Context menu. Please, send the coordinates at support@osmand.net.
Best maps on mobile
The UI is a bit crude and unintuitive, but the map customisation, detail, contours and accuracy is superb.
Background trip recording still not working
Version 2.31 still does not record tracks in the background. A fix for that was promised over six months ago. Will it ever happen?
