  • Disappointed

I paid for a subscription and have not been able to use it. I have sent an email to the support email address almost one week ago and have not had a response back. I’ve used the app before and really liked it but really disappointed with the customer experience. All of the social media pages appear to be inactive too so can’t reach anyone

  • Best Bible Memory System

This app is, simply put, the best scripture memory system I’ve yet come across, and I’ve tried a few. This app is simple, yet game-like enough that it makes memorising scripture not only easier but also more enjoyable. In just two days, I’ve memorised John 1:1-18, Matthew 6:25-34, Psalm 23 and the meaning of the first two commandments, as stated in Luther’s Small Catechism (yes, you can even memorise Catechisms and Creeds). What are you waiting for? Get it now!

  • Brilliant for young and old!

Lovely user interface, pleasing, clean design, colour and font. You can choose your preferred Bible version and create collections of Bible verses. The verse memorisation process is made fun by interactive games. One ares for improvement is the audio, the current autonomated voice is too robotic; a real voice world be excellent. User voice recognition is currently in Beta stage; it would be great to have this as an additional feature. Overall, a really good app for memorising God’s matchless Word, a blessing for young and old. It is well worth the small cost (£4.99 or £9.99 version). Thank you to the developers.

  • Changed the way I memorize (and my life)

Thank you so much for this app!!! I have used it for years now, and it really has blessed me. I’ve always known that verse memorization is important, but I don’t always have my Bible with me. I’ve tried many other apps, but they simply are just too complicated. This app is exactly what I need. I just sit down for around 5-10 minutes everyday and practice a few verses. In a few months, I had the entire fifth chapter of Matthew memorized! Thank you again for this app. -NH

For the app producers: Would you consider adding the original Greek and Hebrew versions of the text? Even if it is just the versions in the public domain. That would be great if so!

Nathaniel, thank you so much for taking the time to share this. It is a joy and deep encouragement to hear of experiences like yours. We're so glad that you have found Verses helpful and meaningful and, most of all, that it helps you draw nearer to the Lord. So wonderful!
  • Five stars for sure! ✝️❤️💗💕💜🤍

I LOVE this app. I’ve always dreaded memorizing bible verses but this makes it a lot easier and actually fun! The strategies are great for memorizing and my favorite is the type out one because it helps it stick with me and get my brain going every day. This app has really helped me grow in my relationship with God. I have been applying verses to my everyday life now and for anybody in need of an uplifting verse or answer to a question and it’s especially good for sharing the gospel, I have it memorized and can say them on demand. The only thing I would change about this app is to make the other Bible versions free. Sometimes the New King James Version is a little difficult to understand or apply for me. But that is only a minor thing and overall, this app is amazing and is definitely recommended by me. God has gifted me with lots of knowledge and has brought me closer to him through this app so I would give it a try. May God bless you. I love you but God loves you even more!✝️❤️I’m praying for you no matter what you are going through 💗

  • Really good!

I have been looking for a Bible memory app and it seems like Verses is one of the better ones. The number of ways to memorize a verse are helpful because they not only help in the different ways we memorize things, but they reinforce each other as well. A few things need improvement so be warned…. They have not fixed this in over two years. The speech to text function is wonky. I can say the same word over and over again but for some reason it doesn’t recognize the word I’m saying. For instance no matter how many times I try to say “entrust” (2 Tim. 2:2), the app doesn’t recognize the word. The other problem is when a verse has a dash the word right after won’t come up until you press the right key three or four times. So there are some verses you want to memorize that you will never complete fully. I was fine with it for awhile but it’s starting to annoy me, mainly that it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Update: still waiting for the fix after a few years even though the developers reached out to let me know it was coming. Not sure if I’m going to keep subscribing now

Thanks for the good review. Glad our app is benefiting you in memorizing scripture verses. We are working on a new completely rewritten Verses app. We plan on releasing this in early 2023.
  • Great for memorisation

I’ve learnt so much since installing this
  • Helpful

A helpful tool for memorizing scripture on the go! Thankful to have this app!
  • Absolutely fantastic resource!

The Verses app has exceptionally helped me memorise scripture. The best part is how many scriptures I’ve been able to learn in such a short time because of it’s help. I honestly believe this app is fundamental for any Christian! I love it! 😍✝️😍
  • A 5/5 app but…

I’d happily give this a 5/5 rating, however it’s success is seriously hindered by the fact that you have to subscribe, albeit a small fee, to access basic bible translations ie the NIV. This, to a degree, makes the app unusable to me and im sure many others

Maybe look to make other features paid instead, which would still allow people to use and recognise the value of the app. At the moment, unless you speak old English full time, it’s a struggle.
