Energy Savings Event capabilities: Your Carrier® Côr™ now has the ability to participate in peak time energy savings events when you enroll in a Demand Response program with your utility. Before the event starts, you will see an alert that notifies you about it and once it starts, you will see “EVENT” on the home screen and have the ability to opt-out if you are uncomfortable. Note: If you are not enrolled in a program, you won’t see these events. Eligibility of your thermostat will depend on the utility program’s terms and conditions. General bug fixes.

Reviews of Carrier® Côr™ Thermostat

  • Have had no issues - works just fine

Have had no issues - works just fine for the 6 years we've had it. Only now and then do I need to reboot it, which is easy; pull it out then push it back in. Scheduling is good, iPhone or PC management is easy. No issues really. Only wrote this all out because the one negative review doesn't capture the entire experience with this.
  • Challenging…

To set-up initially and reconnect when the app loses the wi-go network for no reason. Will bring you to the edge of sanity.

When the thermostat won’t connect to the internet your best bet will be to remove the face plate and allow thermostats to power down / power on. Seems to work and it’s a whole lot easier than reverting to factory settings.

    So not worth $200.
  • App it not reliable or user friendly

It only works in landscape mode which makes no sense to design the app this way. It’s not like you need the wide screen mode. So you have to flip the phone sideways instead and have to use it with 2hands. Also the app does not refresh so you have to close and reopen the app to see the current temp
