  • Osmo Mobile 2 has great potential

I have been using the Osmo Mobile 2 for just a few hours with my iPhone X on iOS 11.4 and here are my impressions so far. Great stabilizer for a great price. The app worked good. It’s missing 4K 60fps and the use of the 2X camera on the iPhone X. It would be nice to be able to use the 2X optical zoom, rather than digital zoom. That is more important than 4K 60. Stabilizing works better in 1080 than it does in 4K... but both still look really great for a “prosumer” device. Only experienced the “jelly” issue with the built in stability fighting OSMO if I am really banging the device around.

The M button doesn’t make a lot of sense... it sure what it’s best features are yet. I really like the timelapse and motion scenes... plan to use on storm and sky photography.

So far, very impressed with device and app. Let’s hope DJI keeps improving battery life, charging, frame rate, and camera support. Another few months of development and this will earn a 5 Star review.

  • DJI APP Mid-flight new popup blocker.

I was using my DJI APP on my Job in Class-D airspace. A pop up from DJI came up on screen saying I was In Class D airspace and would I take responsibility for that, It took up my whole screen in Black and Dark Blue, I could not find how to make it go away so I immediately brought my inspire 1 drone down! landing on pump house roof thinking it safe but not being able to see through DJI camera on DJI App it proceeded to slide slowly off shingles into golf course pond! Damaging drone. Later I found out from other DJI pilots they also had same problem, the solution was a spec in a spec Dark Blue dot yes or no ?It was too dark and blended in to entire screen color with a spec dot to indicate yes or no with out direction. I took a screen shot of the pop up if anyone wants to see it.
I did have clearance to fly and emailed my clearance to them prior to flight. I’m very unhappy. Very very. Contact me for questions.

  • Do not buy DJI.

So I bought the dji phantom 3 Professional about a year ago planning to do some real estate photography and normal hobby flying. I am a licensed pilot and have always been very careful with this drone to make sure I did not damage it in any way since my investment was nearly $1300 at the time.. so it has always flown flawlessly until the last dji app update forced me to agree to share all my info and flight data which is fine but now have no video feed. Been troubleshooting for days and re-installing firmware and trying different usb cords but nothing worked..

This whole time I have been so scared to crash the drone but now I realize I should have been scared of Dji’s software.

  • Disappointed by Changes and Support

I did so much research and found so much support behind the DJI Osmo Mobile, warranting me asking for it as a gift. I took it with me to Spain and other trips through March 2018, while taking many great photos/videos. It’s now June 2018 and I can no longer take great panorama photos because now you only get 2 options that don’t even come out different. Now, I feel like I should just take my chances using my regular iPhone panorama while my phones on the Osmo.

I tried reach support and no one could help me understand why or if there even was a change. I’ve tried contacting in multiple different formats, with each to no avail. I’m now left with a half-as-optimal photo machine that I don’t want my girlfriend feeling disappointed about buying.

  • A company that allowed success to out grow customer care.

Once again DJI commands market share at the expense of customer care. Non-responsive tech support, incompetent support, U.S. support has zero authority to answer customer questions related to bug status, work-a-rounds, etc. DJI continues to make great announcements of features and functions they have not fully developed or tested. They discontinue products/models quicker than their batteries run out. Security is so pathetic they have been banned by all U.S. military and most agencies. DJI needs to decide whether they want to be a product company or a spy agency. Seriously!!
Prediction- when successful companies act like DJI they open the door for the competition to take their place. Suggestion- If you are sincerely ask for a review, then READ THEM and LISTEN!

  • Tracking feature is amazing, but no 24fps selfie or back camera?

Every time you open the app to connect the OSMO Mobile 2 it won’t recognize the Bluetooth connection even when you already paired and connected your phone with the OSMO via your phone’s settings. You have to exit DJI Go and disconnect from Bluetooth and connect again in order for DJI Go to recognize Bluetooth connection.

Tracking feature is awesome but I need 24fps as do many others. All of my projects require 24fps. Please DJI, fix the Bluetooth stuff and add 24fps options. Your app is almost perfect.

  • DJI, what the he11?

What other product can you purchase that works less the more it’s updated and longer you own it. I’ve had numerous DJI quads and hexa’s from the F450 with Naza V1 and software 1.0. The older ones you had to build and could upgrade. Firmware updates have taken away channels, used to have 32. Made the video range way shorter and way more error messages and warnings which guess what- take your eye off the copter! Signal interference all the time, video feed not working and annoying warnings multiple times about airspace (I’m a pilot, don’t need multiple screen hogging warnings about the same thing, I got it). So if it were a car it would be like your range would go down, windshield fog up a lot and get less radio stations after taking it in for service........

  • Omso2: Just Aweful

The Osmo 2 was really hyped up and I fell for it hook line and sinker. I bought it and downloaded this app hoping to experience a great product. The osmo 2 made a horrible rattling sound when I attempted to balance my iPhone X vertically. I followed all of the instructions and video tutorials. I contacted customer service and that’s where things went horribly wrong. They instructed me to follow the manual and after I advised them of all of my troubleshooting steps it was like I didn’t say anything and they advised me to repeat the same steps. After three emails and no progress I advised the customer service rep I was going to return the product as i could not use it. I was instructed to take it to a service center (after owning it for four days) and they would repair the unit. It was literally like I was speaking English and they were unable to understand anything I said.

I took the Osmo2 back and uninstalled the app and I’m so happy I did. Horrible app, horrible product and horrible customer service— just horrible!

  • If you upgraded to iOS 11 this guide will help

The app worked perfectly fine on iOS 10 then I upgraded to 11. When I tried opening the app to ensure everything ready to go the app wouldn’t open. All you have to do is delete the app, redone load it & take the quiz. Some of the questions aren’t straight forward so make sure to do your own research. Once completed the quiz you could sign in & that’s it now the app works on iOS 11. But honestly DJI should update the app (ensure no bugs or crashes) because customers come first. Since we did spend $500+ on expensive camera equipment.

  • Disappointed in DJI

I recently purchased the phantom and was very excited. The standards of DJI and reputation are what persuaded me in the initial purchase. Boy was I wrong. I have had the luxury of flying with the app connected without problems. Approx third time that I tried to load the app it would only stay connected for a minute or so. I have deleted and reinstalled this app twice. Nothing, now it won't even open. Called customer service and after a lengthy wait time it was decided that my device (iPhone 6) was the culprit. Wrong! I sent the phone information repair and it was giving a clean bill of health. Nothing was even wrong with my device. Thanks DJI rep! Now what any suggestions. Do I return my phantom. Or is there light at the end of the tunnel,,,,HELP HELP HELP
