Before spending several hundred dollars on motorized faders this $4 midi controller and a couple of hours things up seems to do the trickApplesaurus

Wrote a review when I first downloaded it and after having used it for a couple of weeks, I can honestly say it’s absolutely incredible. Use it with Ableton Live at our church to change scenes and it’s perfect. Can you guys make an update that allows color changes for the midi pads? It would be nice to section them off as they are right now only one color (yellow). If we could assign colors to the pads that would be a GAME CHANGER. Great app! Following the response from the developer which was fast, I will get a Ethernet adaptor and try wired. I took the option to purchase again but it allowed me to get a licence without payment (this took 2 goes so I hope I didn’t get charged)
I have changed my rating to 4* as I really like the product, and am impressed by the fast response. I hope that the wired option sorts the connection issue.
With reliability I’d happily rate this a 5* product.
The grid is the best way I’ve found to control ableton. I’d really like it to reliable but...
It looses connection occasionally.
It also keeps asking for me to pay for things I’ve already purchased.
Both of things destroy the creative flow.
I’d like to use it in a live environment but I don’t feel I can trust it.Show lessPhilTxyzzy12345

Hi. Regarding the connection. Are you connect by wifi or cable? If by wifi, are you close or far from the router? Regarding the purchases. We have released version 1.6.1 that changes the way purchases are store. Can you try to make a 'Restore Purchases' operation under LK -> Menu -> Store and let us know if the problem persists? Please add the ability to assign note values to the pads in the midi controller (midi mode). Currently we can only assign CC values.
Other than that small feature request, the app works well and looks great!

I’ve been wanting to initiate my IPad as a midi device for some time, I am new to this and ableton. But I am impressed and excited to explore the apps capabilities. I am also going to try and set it up with logic if possible. A sequencer for building up drum loops would be a nice edition for the future.Show lessHixMostoff

I tried setting it up for Ableton Live with a Windows 10 PC, the necessary UBRIDGE software does not detect my iPad. I tried to do the same on Mac which is supposed to be easier to setup, this time the UBRIDGE won’t even install on Catalina OS at all (Mac rejects the app as unverifiable for security and says the developer needs to update it). It won’t even work as a simple MIDI, something any decent MIDI app can do.Show lessMatreve

Ok so there are issues with pricing. So what. It amazes me that people seem to like to mess up sales of a good app by posting bad reviews instead of first contacting the developer to discuss things. No developer wants to con a few customers to make a few extra bucks. Of course they want to make money but if the app is good, which this one is, they would rather give the best deal they can and make as many people happy as possible. What good is it to jump on everything you don't like and yell rip off etc. Isn't it better to email the guy and try to get your point across. Reviews are to let other people know if the app is good or not. Let each person decide if the pricing is ok for them. If others see a lousy rating, sales will be affected, which is bad for everyone. So be smart and contact the developer first. How ridiculous is it to take stars off for a bug, unless of course it is there for a long time. People are mean. They get some kind of thrill to give bad reviews instead of being positive to get the app to be fixed. How ridiculous is it to give a bad rating and say you will give 5 stars if a feature you want is added. Email the guy and ask for it instead of messing up the app sales. I suppose power tripping is fun.

looks beautiful and controls work very seemlessly with ableton. they just need to fix a bug where ableton cannot select multiple tracks while using LK. i believe this is because LK is unable to select multiple tracks with Matrix. i’ve also ran into bugs where it would crash when sometimes selecting a track with the keyboard. otherwise it’d be a 5 from me, i do believe this app has a lot of potential despite these issues and would love to see these being fixed!Show lessjtorcaz
