Reviews of MobileMeter

  • Faulty app

I have never received a reminder/notification despite having that feature toggled on. I have received citations, though the app says I still had time left on the meter. The app does not retain enough parker history info to keep a record (so I could not contest my citation). The option to email myself a receipt would not work. The app says to visit the website for more history, but the text is jumbled as to what website to go to. Any Mobile Meter website I found does not include an option to search parker history. No help or support options within the app (or website), only a list of FAQs that don’t address any of these issues. Disappointing app, not reliable.
  • Convenient

More convenient way to pay for a spot to park in.
  • Inflexible and Possibly Malicious

There isn't an option to end your parking reservation early. If I misjudge how long I'll need parking, I lose money paying for a spot I am not occupying. I don't understand why they have the system like this, except to maintain profit from convenience fees through the transaction. The transaction could be finished at the end of your parking reservation, allowing you to adjust the time (longer or shorter) based on your need. They chose not to do this, and the app is less flexible and more taxing as a result.

This app was introduced here and completely replaced our coin meters. Now we HAVE to pay the more expensive app price, because it charges a convenience fee. I don't appreciate yet another aspect of my life becoming more expensive.
