Leave a Review Shefa Flavors of Gratefulness
Mindful and meditative – wonderful app
I really love this app. I am actually Christian; a Jewish friend of mine mentioned it to me, saying that she uses it as part of her morning routine.
I don’t understand Hebrew, so I do like the English translation, although I expect it does not cover all the Hebrew. I love the singing and the various flavors (melodies and beats) that Rabbi Shefa Gold has brought to these verses. She is simply wonderful and so creative! I have recently looked at her website and I am considering delving into it further.
This app has become an integral part of my morning devotionals. I absolutely love it and have recommended it to all my Jewish friends. ❤️Show lessExcellent
I was thrilled to find contemplative, meditative and melodic Judaism in a rushed world of mindfulness as other groups push towards commercialization. It is a billion dollar industry.
Shefa, however, is a gift.
There’s no place like home and this is a welcoming balanced app and if you’re a Hebrew student you can be encouraged to read and understand the deeper meaning.
Shefa’s voice is in perfect harmony with my own heartstrings. Thanks so much!Show lessSomewhat Limited but Inspiring
While it's the basic modim- it has lovely vocal variety- emphasizing the words and their meaning , making them fresh every day....helps me start my day with prayer. When I start my day with prayer I'm more likely to get in my morning noon night and bedtime prayers - and draws me closer spirit more mindful of The Holy One, Blessed is He, that surrounds me with miracles and wonders, daily. I have purchased her first book with the companion book - really wonderful, joyful.Show lessPractice makes Permanent
As I bring the practice of Judaism into my home I am delight to have a simple prayer in many melodies to stamp these words into my heart so that they fall easily from my mouth. <3WTH?!
'I gratefully acknowledge your face..' in 49 different melodies. Really??! What was I thinking when I bought this?! This app doesn't include in-app access to the wonder that is Shefa's chant collection, no, it gives access to one, you got it, 1 chant done in 49 melodies- that's right 49. Ugh.
