The app is written for macs on the iPhone. But once you buy it and go to help you get a pc web address to download the component app on windows that allows you to select a text conversation and export it to PDF and HTML and xls and attachments.
It lays them out well and you get full information about the Texts including date and time and contents.
This would probably not be sufficient for litigation forensic productions but may be.
It certainly would be a great way to get the info for a review.
It shows the contact name and not the phone number which might be needed in court.

If you want the app to save/export all text messages, audio messages, images/pictures, videos and other attachments to your mac/pc from messages app. So export messages app is the one you need. This is right app for you to take a print of any text convesation. Use this app you never worry about losing sms/imessages/text messages, you can now take backup of all text messages including pictures, videos and other attachments. You can print save or email sms, mms, audio, video and filter messages by contact and date range. I downloaded and used this app and I felt satisfied. It is very useful.

Best SMS APP TO GET OLD MESSAGES
I could not believe how powerful this application was. It's pretty simple to use and it exports excel and PDF into 1 folder. I was able to see older messages even ones that were deleted. You can use this for many things to retrieve addresses etc. If you use txt messaging instead of email; has archive, this app is for you and your friends. Make sure you have your iTunes up to date. You will be impressed. If you have problem, the customer support was right there for me. Great job !! Having raw data is powerful stuff especially for legal matters!

Exports Text messages to Excel - 5 Stars!!!
This is a great app. I did have some problems installing the software to begin with as it wouldn't install on my Mac with Safari. I emailed the customer service and they responded quickly. However by then I had tried with Google Chrome and it worked perfectly.
I now have all my text messages on an excel spreadsheet. Exactly what I needed!!! Thank you.

Did what it was supposed to do
This app does exactly what it is supposed to do, although I had some difficulty getting started, as I needed the most up-to-date version of Java and had to backup my iPhone without encryption. I wanted to be able to back up my text messages, simply because I didn't want to lose many of them and had to have a hardware issue fixed on my phone. This app did the trick, which a little help from their support. Support was quick and thorough. Without it, I probably woulnd't have figured out what was going on, but support was quick, and knew exactly how to get me running. Works perfectly now! Would like it to be easier to get started, but the app does exactly as advertised. I suggest contacting for support if any issues as they're great!

Export SMS App
I purchased this app yesterday. At first, I had a connectivity error, so I e-mailed the vendor for support. Just in a few minutes, he called me right away! That was so unexpected, you don't get an immediate response like that from other vendors/apps developers. So, what he did, he helped me all the way, from the beginning, from downloading up to the end, until everything is in placed. He was so patient, and nice. This app is very good for transferring messages, etc. from smart phones to your computer, and be able to print them. The format is simple, and organized. It's "user friendly". Great app!

Had issue in the beginning but their tech support is better than 5 starts
Works but not in the manner I expected
So essentially how this works is he program is asking you to sync your phone to your computer and do a backup. It will then pull ALL of your current text message threads from your phone and plug them into an excel file and place it on your computer for you. You do not get to select which text threads are exported. So if you save any texts from people EVERYTHING goes into this export file. You will have to "prep" your phone in advance and delete ALL unwanted texts you do not want in your report prior to running it. It's fast and effective I will give the program that. However, I will it had more ability to select which threads I wanted so I didn't have to delete threads I wanted to keep as reference a bit longer. Thanks
