  • Fantastic app!!!

I usually don’t write reviews but I just got a new Toyota and several things irritated me. So looking online I ran across this app. I have the OBD device already, plugged it in, started up the app and wala. All the settings I wanted to change I could. Thank you for making such an awesome app.
  • Poor Business practices.

I purchased the full version a few years ago, then they switched to a subscription model and I am out the original price. Neither Apple nor Carista have offered any help after much back and forth aside from giving me a free week. Dishonest business practices.
  • 07 Prius - ECU not found

    UPDATE:
Carista informed me that my 2nd Gen Prius is not fully supported due to hardware limitations. They only have basic OBDll diagnostics for that Generation. This information came directly to my inbox. That is great customer service! I know Prius’ need Techstream to do a proper diagnostic but was hoping for a Miracle and find an app for my NEXXUS tool. One day maybe 😊

I am using a new Nexxus OBDll/EOBD Diagnostic Interface Bluetooth tool. Unfortunately it is unable to connect to my 2007 Prius. When scanning ECU codes it states it can not complete connect. I have tried running the program with Prius in ON as well as Started (foot on brake). I can use Dr Prius but was hoping for a more thorough diagnostic check.

    Developer Response

Thanks for your review, and we're sorry to hear about the trouble. Unfortunately, those models are not fully supported due to hardware limitations. We only have Basic OBD2 diagnostics for the 2nd generation of Toyota Prius. You can find more info here: https://caristaapp.com/vehicles/toyota/prius/2nd-gen/2007/usa
  • Update

    Hope everyone is doing well.
When you gonna do some customization for JEEPS ? JL-JK-,etc
    That will be outstanding!!!
    Hope you do soon !!!
  • Software is now a separate purchase

I bought this product now a year later I can’t use it because all the features are now paid for only. I already bought the dongle and the software was free. Very bad move by the company.
  • Everything works great except….

Works great on everything except it requires you to purchase pro version and will not allow in app purchases. Just shut up and take my money
  • Great but missing live data

Been using for a few years on tuned and non performance tuned cars that I have to monitor constantly. Don’t love having to take my laptop everywhere so this is a nice alternative for simple things it’s great but need to grow their support for live data i.e Volkswagen GTI 2007
  • Pay wall!

Fairly disappointed, I gathered through the description that I could write new TPMS ID’s into the ecu. And you can… as long as you buy the subscription. Either pay $15/month or buy the full version for close to $100. No thanks!
  • Used to be great

This dongle/ app used to be wonderful, showing diagnostic codes for free and then charging for doing customizations. Just looked at a car and went to scan it, now they don’t show diagnostic codes unless you pay!? Can’t find a way to pay through the app so couldn’t check the codes and left disappointed. Will be purchasing a different dongle.

  • Changed available services

Purchased with the ability to read the codes from the device. Making programming changes was extra after the trial period.
Two years later the device is useless unless you purchase their subscription. This is not what was advertised when I purchased the device. I should be able to read the codes. Now just get Oxxxx. Doesn’t seem right that they would remove the available features (codes) you paid for after the purchase of the unit and require you to purchase what was available previously for free.
