  • Customize Prius Reverse beep

This OBD II does allow you to reduce to one reverse beep, but after paying $40 including shipping, you’d think you could customize one feature without paying another $10, and having to cancel the automatic monthly renewal charge to avoid continuing monthly subscription to Carista.
  • Watch out for recurring monthly fee.

I did not sign up or notice when I purchased this product that they would then bill each month thereafter for a recurring service. Watch you accounts closely with these people. The product did do what it was supposed to however.
  • Awesome for the Prius!

We own a 2020 AWD-e XLE Prius. There are some annoying features with the car: backup beeping, overly sensitive and too loud parking sonar sensors, and front parking sensor that keeps beeping when you’re going through an automatic car wash.

Bought Carista and was able to easily fix all these issues. You do have to subscribe for at least a month to make the changes. But you only need to subscribe to make new changes — once made, they stick. So in theory you just need to do a one time, one month subscription. Totally worth it.

  • Useless with a TPMS on a prius.

Same message for months of trying multiple parts of the app. Get a message under TIre Pressure that says “ECU Not Found”. It also says this about airbags, seatbelts, A/C, window control units.. After $60 in purchases my problems are left unanswered. Toyota wants to replace all 4 sensors and computer for 1300$, even though they NEVER hooked a machine to it. Very frustrating.
As for mods to the car, the change from multiple beeps to 1 beep was a HUGE deal for me

  • Great app, saved me a trip to the dealer

This app has been great for me as an Audi owner. Many customizations duplicate what can be done with the MMI, but access to the instrument cluster needle sweep and window/sunroof customizations are worth the price.

The real value comes from the ability to read OBD II codes and engine faults. It let me know whether the engine light indicated something serious, and saved me an expensive trip to the auto repair shop for a diagnosis.

As an infrequent user, there’s no need to subscribe for a year and I don’t know why people complain about the price. I pay for one month when I need the paid features. Easy!

  • Toyota 4Runner success

Worked perfectly to change the default settings for seatbelt chime and blinker volume.
  • Too expensive for what you get

    Title says it all.
$39 for the device and $40 for the subscription.
Check the website and see if your car is supported BEFORE you buy. They make the website look like your car is supported and after you buy..... oh no it’s not. $80 on something I can’t even use. BEWARE
  • Great Car customizing app

This allowed me to change the number of flashes on my 2020 Tacoma. Something the dealership wanted $60 to change for me. Awesome App! Would definitely recommend!
  • Great App!

I’ve been updating control modules on my vehicles for years with Ford and Mopar vehicles and always had to use the wired OBD adapter plugged in to my laptop. I’ve always been an Apple guy so in order to use the software I had to either run bootcamp or virtual windows on my MacBook. It’s been a necessary evil to accomplish the changes I wanted to make.

Carista absolutely blows that away. I never knew this type of setup existed and thought it was too good to be true when I stumbled across it on a forum. Coming from how I’ve always had to do things in the past I’m extremely happy with this product.

Lots of customization options and based on the current beta they have plenty more customizable options coming soon!
