Won’t connect to WiFi

It used to work well but now it just won’t connect at all, it’s ticked in the settings as being connected but it’s NOT on the WiFi, can’t access the camera making this app and the camera useless, I won’t be buying another thinkware product as the back up is no existent.

No compatible with IOS 13.5.1

Thought I can use this camera no problem , good advertising by Thinkware. Paid nearly £400 for my set up F770 and can’t even connect to the app. Camera not appearing on Wi-fi settings . Camera maybe is good but developers doing really bad job with the app , need an update .

This app does not work

I can connect to the WiFi, open this app, but if I go into any menu the app crashes and disconnects from the device. If I reopen the app it DOES NOT RECONNECT. Then I am unable to reconnect to the device, so I have to turn off and on the dashcam, open the app, and then try to do anything before the app crashes.

Also how is the app SO UGLY? What resolution is this? Why is the screen flashing when you scroll? Seriously, please fire whoever created this app.

Looks like I’m returning this dashcam and telling people not to use it.

Functional i guess

It does what it is meant to do but the whole effort of connecting the dash cam is quite haphazard.

The app still isn’t even configured for iPhone X screens and it’s 2020.

Definitely a consideration for my wife’s dash cam purchase.

Judge a device by its App rating

*UPDATED* Pretty sad company that takes 3 months to respond then just cuts and pastes their reply to other reviews when not applicable to the review... If their App only rates less than two stars, what does this tell you about this company? They’re one of the most expensive dash cam makers yet their ability to keep up with technology is lacking and almost absent. Their App only works on iOS 13 if you enable location services to be on all the time, even when not using the app which poses privacy issues. The ability to connect to the device using the App through their dash cam WiFi on iPhone involved enabling location to ‘Always’ after the recent iOS update. Are you unable to offer a fix that doesn't track my location 24/7? Do your research on Thinkware’s devices before you make a big purchase during the holidays or you or the recipient may be disappointed.

Hello There, Please note that the Location Permission can be set to "While using the app" and you will have no issue connecting. This does not require the permission to be on at all times. Due to iOS 13, we cannot determine the SSID of your smartphone to connect to the Dash Cam Viewer App if the location permission is disabled. We understand that this is for privacy reasons, as the Wi-Fi SSID can be used to obtain location. Our Thinkware Dash Cam Viewer app doesn't have any other purpose to use location rather than determining WIFI SSID. Can’t connect with iOS 13

Stopped working after iOS 13 upgrade.
Please update the software.

Received a fix suggestion from developer to enable Location Permission. Works great.

Can not connect to wifi

After spending a lot of money purchasing my f750, I agree with all the other comments about not being able to connect to wifi using the app. This app only allows you to access app info and videos downloaded, needs to fixed

Bad app! Never updated

This app has a hard time connecting to the cameras wifi.

I also have an error on screen that says the camera is not connected to wifi which stays on screen so I can’t even watch the videos that I have downloaded on to my phone.

I will not be purchasing Thinkware hardware in the future.

Biggest pile of crap you can get

You spend a fortune on the hardware in the hope it all works great, only to find it is left down by the worst piece of software. You just can not get connected to view of change setting and on the odd occasion you do get connected the software just crashes!!!! What a pile of crap!!!!!!!

Works well

Just used the newest version 2.3 viewer app on my f750 on an ios13 iPhone and it worked fine to download footage and other functions.
