Critical Bug
Cool idea but there's a critical bug that cost me dearly. The apple watch app causes the iPhone app to revert to the unlocked version at random times. I started two separate audio talks I was giving with the watch and the unlocked app. I had hooked up the brand new MicClip Digital from Sennheiser and started the recording with my watch, but when I was done the app had stopped after 60sec and told me to upgrade. Hope this gets fixed because it makes the Apple Watch app a major liability. If you're counting on reliable audio in the field DONT USE YOUR WATCH!!

Brilliant app
I love this app it's the best I have used so far, The Apple Watch control is fantastic, I just wish it offered more export options, and the ability to record in AAC or MP3, so please listen Apogee, just a little more work and you will have I pretty much perfect five star app.
Elegant, Functional and Superbly Implemented iOS Recording
Apogee has done it again, thank you very much. Everything that they produce is so nicely designed and well thought out and the MetaRecorder is no exception.
You see everything that you need to see, when you need to see it. For instance, when you touch the icon of a microphone on the right side of the display, a volume slider appears allowing you to make the necessary adjustments to the input level. Unfortunately on some recording apps, you'd have to go a layer or two into the software to change that setting. Not good in a live recording situation.
I took a chance and ordered the RODE iXY-L stereo microphone in the hopes that it would work with MetaRecorder. Happily, I can say a resounding YES It records perfectly on both the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Air 2.
BTW the fact that MetaRecorder can be controlled by the Apple Watch, is probably the only reason I would ever even consider getting one.

Missing iCloud support
Clean focussed app that allows for FC metadata yet it has no way to write the data to iCloud.
Great App, Great Quality, FINALLY 96K
Finally a straight forward field recording app that is high quality. Exporting to Dropbox is super smooth and works great. Apogee continues to make great products, and this is another!
Half an app
I have lots of Apogee hardware and no doubt they are at the top of their game in the industry. BUT this app is not up to Apogee standards. There are literally hundreds or thousands of recorder apps out there that have many more features. This app doesn’t offer a single option to edit. No cut/paste or anything. I’m sure that some will love it but for my purposes it lacks too many functions to take up space on my device.
