  • There is no desktop server anymore

    Apple should take this down.

please visit https://zerodebug.com/#/studiomux and download the server from there! unfortunately we need to publish an update to change this url. well... guess we'll do just that :)
  • Cool. But NO support, hasn’t been updated since 2018

It generally works ok. Some bugs, such as it doesn’t seem to effectively communicate midi tempo from the iOS device to the PC or USB connected devices. Sometimes needs to be restarted to work correctly, but seems to operate stable once it’s going. Not many options if you’re trying to pass audio and midi both in and out with iOS.

  • Still works in mid-2020

This app is fidgety sometimes, and it takes some work to get the plugin on your PC synced up with iOS, but how else can you stream iOS audio into Ableton on a PC? This app still can do that.
  • Abandoned and now useless

Installed this a few years ago.
Came back to use it on a different Mac. All their websites have disappeared. This app should no longer be available here, making it currently a scam as it’s impossible to install the desktop server software.
Hopefully nothing bad has happened to the dev, but if you see this, either take this app down or provide links to install the server plugins.

  • Doesn’t work 90 % of the time

Rarely works most of the time. Sorry but, it’s another frustrating waste of money.

  • Worked great until.....

The latest version of windows 10 (r19) won't load the diver anymore....shame, I miss it
  • Turn your iOS apps into a Mac/PC controlled studio

This is a wonderful, revolutionary app - a bit rough around the edges, and the instructions could be clearer (and more up to date). However, after purchasing the app, reluctantly, to solve one problem (inability to hear iOS music apps within Cubase 10 Elements in MacOS Mojave, despite being able to send MIDI to them), I found that it addressed so many other issues that my iOS music app collection has been transformed into a Mac-controlled studio. Amazing. At one point I almost gave up with the app - but then restarted the server app on my Mac and things started to work. So...bear with it and you may get considerably more than you were looking for.

  • The icon on the taskbar appears and then immediately disappears

In Windows 10, the icon on the taskbar appears and then immediately disappears. As such, there’s no way to make it work. No response from support, and I see others online with the same problem /just giving up/. Wish I could suggest an alternative!

The devs continue to offer NO HELP. My impression is that they’ve given up on developing Studiomux because of Windows 10 incompatibility....

  • Don’t bother if you have Win10

This used to work reasonably predictably until the Win 10 update last year and the Win64 and Win32 PC application no longer works AT ALL. It’s a brick until they update the Win 10 PC application.
  • Terrific app

Worked well for me upon testing with the Reaper DAWS on my Win 10 PC. I fired up rtpMIDI and loopMIDI first (not sure if the the latter is totally necessary and the former was easy enough to configure). Also ran iTunes on my PC. Then made sure the inputs and outputs within the Studiomux server app on my PC were checked off. Started the app on my iPad Air 2 and loaded an instrument in the channel 1 of Studiomux. I'd previously installed the Studiomux VST on my PC, so I loaded the VST in Reaper and saw the instrument in Reaper, which I was able to play with the MIDI controller I use with my PC. Reaper was unable to convert the MIDI to audio, but Reaper has a routing method to directly record the audio. I did not notice any latency issues.
