I've used this app on both my phone and my MacBook whilst writing both fiction and non-fiction publications. It is not at all complicated as it is so easy to use and invaluable when you are trying to compose any sort of written work including essays, coursework, articles, poems, novels etc. So if you want to make yourself sound like you swallowed a dictionary to improve your grades, or you want to impress a loved one with your poetry skills without just saying the word 'nice' a hundred times... then this is definitely the app for you.Show lessLittle Gem 77
Will loosen the jar on your creativity
I’m a professional writer who’s sworn by Bartlett’s Thesaurus for more than a decade. It’s a massive book to lug around but necessary since no app had come within a stone’s throw of it in terms of its comprehensiveness. Power Thesaurus has developed overtime into the perfect go to. This app continues to be useful without charging for its legit usefulness. I feel like we're cheating the system here by having a thesaurus that performs smoothly and is even better than the big-guy dictionary app, yet remains free.
I keep waiting for it to prove it's freeness by doing what free things do in their natural habitat: glitch noticeably and often, or withhold necessary content until I pay up. But here it is: Still free. And here's me- cautiously optimistic.
Figuring the least I can do is write a review about this anomaly

I especially like how easy to go through the words, and to click to get other aspects of a word. As a writer, I use this program with thesaurus.com, where together I get closer to word meaning I’m seeking. Thank you for this powerful tool.JammaJude

I’ve been using the Power Thesaurus app since 2016 - I do a lot of writing on social media and often need help coming up with the right word or phrase - this app has been so handy over the years. But now it doesn’t let me see the full word list unless I watch an ad. When I open up this app, it’s because I’m in the middle of writing something, I’m not really able to waste a bunch of time watching ads for things I am never going to have any interest in just to see the word list in a thesaurus. I don’t know if there are any better options, but I know this one no longer meets my needs.Show lessTofutefisk

i love this app so much, i use it all the time to find more ambitious vocabulary and learn the meanings of words i don’t recognise. i’m a huge lover of english language so the extra availability of having synonyms and antonyms and rhymes is incredibly useful. and the fact that all of this is for free is even more amazing. i honestly don’t know why this app doesn’t have a straight 5-stars rating!
