I love this Thesaurus, even when I have access to my browser and many other options I still have to go get my phone to use Power Thesaurus while writing.
Why? Well the other options give only literal, pretty accurate, categorized synonyms. As a writer sometimes that means just a few options. So often I want an adjacent term that means something a bit different.
This app gives dozens upon dozens of options for those words like “minutiae” where a regular Thesaurus gives me little. I get tons of related terms that help me find that perfect alternative. For phrases like “cheap trick” again I get tons of options like “low blow” “stunt” etc. Regular thesaurus gives me no results at all.Show lessessetesse

With no iPhone SX max support, showing large black borders across the top and bottom of the screen, the app feels broken from the outset.
Additionally, the voting arrows are a bit too small for a screen the size of an iPhone. On desktop the size is fine, but unfortunately that does not scale well to iPhone screen. They should probably be the same size as Reddit’s voting arrows.
Finally, the best apps on iOS make use of the swipe screen feature to go back or forwards to previous screens: much like on Safari. Power Thesaurus presents the perfect opportunity for that - in order to return to previous words - and I find my reflexes attempting it at times, because it feels so natural to do so. But again, sadly, the app feels dated and simplistic for not having it.
It is a shame, because Power Thesaurus is my go-to site when drafting anything, making an interesting blend of resource and social media, that is therefore as enjoyable as it is useful to use. It’s just unfortunate that this app needs a little polishing.Show lessExpertContributor

Not sure how the developer stayed the app supports iPhone X in September when last update was a year ago with still no support.

This app and website are AMAZING!! I rarely use exclamation marks, and this app deserves them, I would recommend to anyone, so simple and helpful and super easy to use, WOW.

Considering how many English courses I've been taking, I'm always trying to perfect my sentence structure and use the perfect word. This site (and app) helps find not just tons of synonyms and antonyms, but those words and phrases that are similar. So when the word you're looking for is not even at the tip of your tongue, just type in any word somewhat similar; you'll find that word you're looking for and better choices as well.Show lessbdwiggs
