Awesome app

I love this app. But can you correct the banners. They do not look good. The banners of the app Seenit or Kyra is very good. They also take the banners from Trakt. Please correct it. I will give you a 5 star if you fix the issue.

Works great ... sometimes

Just installed this on my new iPad. I can use the app all day and then out of the blue when I want to add a show to my list, the app shuts down. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still have the same problem. If I don’t use the app for 12 hours, it works fine again. If I have to pay to use the app, it should work.

Can’t live without it!!

A while back I gave up tv channel surfing to read more. I use this app to tracking specific shows I want to watch. Once watched they are checked off and I can go do something better for myself.

Still not fixed...

Same issues for a long time now, missing posters even though they exist on TVDB, shows that are missing poster don’t even show the title on the shows tab so you don’t even know which show it is. To watch tab now shows shrunk posters on some shows and others are full size, not consistent. App needs lots of work.

Hi there, Could you email me through the app using the Send Feedback button so I can better understand and help fix the issue? Best, Maximilian Litteral

Very useful, worth every penny

Edit: emailed author. He found the issue quickly and now a few days later - its all fixed. Thanks :)

I use this app very frequently. Have tried dozens of other free “tv tracking” before this one, they always either stopped being updated or missed a lot of shows. This one has worked without much hassle for years.

Only issue that I’ve seen is that the “sent feedback” link opens to a 404 page. I’ve found a few future shows that can crash the app.

Hi there, thank you for the review and glad everything is working fine now.

Brilliant!

If I could give it ten stars I would. Only app where I’ve ever felt compelled to tip the developer. This apps helps organise all the shows you want to watch. Recommendations engine might be a nice to have though.

Potential

Great app but it freezes every time I open it. I have to force close it & then open it back up. It was worse before a past update to where multiple force close & re-opens just for the search feature to load correctly. Hopefully an update is coming soon for this issues.

Response from developer

Hi there, Can you please email me at support@televisiontime.com or contact me through the app itself? It will be much easier to help figure out the issue and either fix it immediately for you or get an update out with a fix. Thank you! Best, Maximilian Litteral

Downgrade

UPDATE: The new 1.5.1 update keeps freezing on both my phone and my wife’s. Nearly unusable now (can maybe mark a show or 2 as watched before the app freezes).

Well, it WAS working great before this 1.5 update. Now not only does the new grid view not work but neither does the old list view.

Hi there, Could you email me through the app using the Send Feedback button in Settings, this will include a log that can help me figure out what is making the app freeze, Best, Television Time support

Not for cord cutters

Nice UX/UI but unfortunately the “to watch” tab only seems to follow network air dates for shows that originally air on networks. For example, The Flash airs first on the CW then drops on Netflix after the season is over. As a cord cutter the CW air date means nothing to me - I want to know when the show is available on Netflix. But there doesn’t seem to be a way to tell the app which services I have. Perhaps the API doesn’t allow for that, but either way this app isn’t of much use to me without that feature.

Response from developer

Hi there, you are correct in that the API does not support that feature. I tried to implement this in the past but any API with that data cost more than I make a month. You can however use a feature in the app to change the air date of the episodes yourself in the app

UI needs work

OK looking app. 3D touching a show produces a glitch every so often. Very annoying. Needs fixing.

The panoramic artwork is pretty bad often cutting off actors heads or words in the artwork. Would be nice for a poster grid view.

Swipe to watch like in other apps would be great.

Clicking on a show takes me to a random spot in its episode list. Or the current season or most recent episode but some strange spot where I inevitably have to scroll to see the most recent episodes.

Needs work. Shame I paid for it. Wish there was a trial. I wouldn’t have purchased and would have save $5.

Hi there, To change to the grid layout, go into the appearance settings and select the grid layout style. Tapping on a show tries to center or top align the next episode you have to watch, but I have seen sometimes it scrolls to the bottom, I plan to fix this. Best, Maximilian Litteral
