Description of Myzone | Make movement count

Get in the zone and make it count, with a social platform and gamification to keep you feeling good, inside and out. Join an inclusive community fuelled by physical activity, fitness and wellbeing with the heart rate monitor that rewards effort over ability. Or build your own community among your family, friends, and classmates. At the heart of over 7500 gym chains in over 80 countries, Myzone is a unique wearable fitness brand that rewards effort rather than ability. It's the secret to motivating anyone to feel good about exercise. The Myzone app uses inclusive, game-based mechanics and social elements to prove time and time again that we're stronger together. When combined with a Myzone heart rate monitor, the app creates personalised zones, based on your maximum heart rate, which means anyone can compete together on a level playing field. What is Myzone? ▶ FEEL GOOD INSIDE AND OUT Myzone develops accurate wearable technology, providing engaging and motivational experiences that support lifestyle changes to make exercise habits stick. ▶ JOIN THE COMMUNITY OR BUILD YOUR OWN Myzone is used by 1.8 million people around the world at home, outdoors and in our partner gyms such as Snap Fitness, LA Fitness, Bannatyne Health Club, Fitness First, Anytime Fitness, and UFC GYM. ▶ USE IT YOUR WAY Myzone connects through analogue, ANT+ and Bluetooth with gym equipment, and Apple Watch. Myzone integrates with Apple Health to save your workout data and biometrics such as weight, BMI, and BMR. It also integrates with third-party apps such as MapMyRun, Strava, and MyFitnessPal. Myzone integrates with many other platforms, including Apple Health. If you grant permission, we will save your activity calories, height, weight, BMI, BMR and body fat data to Apple Health. ▶ THE MOST ACCURATE TRACKERS Myzone heart rate monitors let you know the exact level that you're working out at, in real time. The heart rate monitoring system features electrocardiography (ECG) measurement that's accurate up to 99.4%, as used by health professionals. The MZ-Switch combines an ECG sensor with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to create the world's first interchangeable heart rate monitor for the gym, outdoors or in water. ▶ LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD Myzone rewards effort over ability. Each device automatically updates how it records your effort, every time you progress through your goals. The five tailored effort zones make heart rate training easy to understand. Each zone is a percentage of your maximum heart rate, meaning that athletes and fitness newbies can exercise together to earn MEPs (Myzone Effort Points). ▶ WORLD-CLASS WORKOUTS Myzone means you can take part in live classes with real studio buzz, wherever you are. Exclusive to the Myzone app, MZ-Remote is the world's first virtual live group workout where participants can connect and exercise together, while receiving real-time biometric feedback and personalised coaching from a trainer. ▶ LOVED BY THE EXPERTS Myzone has been featured and reviewed by international journalists from publications such as Men's Fitness, Men's Health, Women's Health, The Huffington Post, GQ, T3, Wired and Esquire for over 10 years. Reviews of Myzone | Make movement count

  • So much more accurate than other heart monitors!!

I recently purchased MyZone from the gym I go to, bootcamp style (SHOUT OUT TO South Gilbert FBBC 💪), and in just a few workouts it is already obviously so much more accurate than my current smartwatch. Seeing the my zone while working out has pushed me to always get a killer workout, and I could not be happier!! I use it for home workouts, weight training and the treadmill, and it is awesome to see my efforts in real time. The challenges are awesome, and the Fitness Test activity is so cool! Take it weekly and see how your body gets stronger and better able to recover. It’s still new to me, but I foresee a lifelong attachment to MyZone. I’ll update my review in a few weeks! If you’re considering it, it is so unbelievably worth it!
  • I love this app but it has a bug

This app is fantastic. It connects me to other members at the gym and I stay motivated by seeing what everyone else is doing. I love that I can track my walks with my family and any other activity outside the gym that I want to as well. It helps me see what zone I’m in so I can dail up or back for more effective workouts. But…there is a bug. When you go into your personal metrics, it tracks your muscle percent and you can add changes but it doesn’t save and display them. Right now, it is showing and graphing 14.5%, a percent I have never had and it acts like it will let me overwrite it but when I go back to the main screen with my metrics, it goes back to 14.5%. This is forcing me to have to track with other apps as opposed to having it all correct here. Please update the app so it keeps everything and I don’t have to bounce around between apps.
  • Got it as a perk for joining gym. Glad I did.

I Did sports in high school and college when I was younger. Was very fit up until my mid 20s and then life just kind of hits you and the gym is one of the first things that falls off the to-do list. I gained 60 pounds over 7 years and it wasn’t muscle.

Never used fitness apps. Not Fitbit, myzone, nada. Thought they were expensive and wouldn’t impact or affect the way I worked out.

My-zone is a game changer. Being able to visually see your heart rate as it adjusts to your workout does many things.

    1. It challenges me to keep my heart rate in the 80% range for as long as possible.
    2. Let’s me know when I’m slacking or when my breaks between sets should be over for interval training.
    3. The point system scratches my competitive itch (you can join groups, challenge buddies, and there are leader boards)
    4. The goal setting also helps me stay accountable too whatever I set as my objective.

    Overall:
Product works well. No issues. Helps the individual visualize their effort and motivates them to optimize that said workout. I’m now a myzone fan.
