Great content But...

Needs some App development ASAP! You guys will lose a lot of subscribers, the videos keeps buffering, even with stable internet, just show how poor the app is and the programs running the videos just feels old!

Great for knowledge

Superb content at a great price.
The app could be made better, but that’s not a serious issue. As long as you guys have great content, I don’t care about the app bugs and interface.
Love you guys for sharing so many science and tech documentaries. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have learnt so much.

You have got a customer for life.

Great app. A few suggestions.

I love this app so far, but right when I began using it I had a few first impressions of possible improvements.

It doesn’t seem as if videos are able to enter into wide screen when I rotate my device. I have to manually press the full screen button. I would like it if the app included the full screen when rotating device option.

Also, when entering and exiting full screen mode the video begins playing again. This isn’t such a big deal, but I would like it if the app remembered when I paused the video I was watching instead of starting it again whenever I exit or enter full screen.

Other than those few minor details, the price for this streaming service is incredible, and the content looks amazing as well. I can’t wait to make more use of it!

Just okay

Both the content and ui was okay, but I though that this might have a bit more than just physics, mathematics and chemistry. I’m interested in history, architecture etc and didn’t see a lot of those. The ones I did find were very America centric.

Very poor

App is very bad, I got one month subscription but I couldn’t login to my account, try to reset my password but keep showing me error that my email is wrong when they sent me the link to reset my password on the same email, don’t waste your money

Fantastic!

Great app, so good to see this available for those of us that enjoy learning. Would be fantastic if there was a speed adjustment on the video feed so that we could watch at 1.25-2 x speed just like you can on YouTube. I highly recommend this app and the subscription. You’ll learn more about the world and history by using this app. Absolutely worth the money.

Good content but the app needs work

Why is it so buggy when flipping from portrait to horizontal? Why can’t it use the accelerometer to do this? Why does it often freeze the video the first time it’s flipped to horizontal?

Why does it recommend things I already watched- and why not indicate that I’ve already seen it, instead of drowning my suggestions with things that belong in my history?

Also Is there a way to sort by content length?

Alright content, bad UI

I’ve never seen such a badly designed major video platform app. No way to rewind while on Chromecast. Documentaries are only represented by images, without titles - so that with series like Digits where every episode has the same cover image, you can’t even see what each episode is about! The content selection is alright, but nothing jawdropping. Hard to find anything to catch my interest. I don’t care about dinosaurs, but almost every category has them in it. Unlikely to pay for this in its current state. Shame, because I really like documentaries.

Great content, maybe improve the UI

The content available on CuriosityStream is great I have no problem with that. However I have had two issues:
1. Trying to find all the Butterfly Effect Videos as a season was difficult and I struggled to look through
2. Chromecast starts and stops (no issues with anything else) and there is no way to rewind if I miss something.

If these could be improved I would definitely give this 5 stars

Fantastic content at a great price, but bogged down by technical issues

I recently subscribed for a whole year of this service, and it is the best value in streaming I’ve found. The content is of high quality and right up my alley. Both new programs and ones I haven’t seen in years that cater to my interests in science and history. My only issue concerns screen mirroring to my tv. I use a lightning to HDMI adapter to mirror my iPhone XR and the app regularly will cause the picture either fade to black, freeze, or simple cut out. I never lose audio, but the image seems to always to act up on me.
