  • Amazing, beautiful game!

This is actually my absolute favorite game that I have played on arcade and the App Store period. It’s so intriguing and just really fun, yet emotional. The story is beautiful and meaningful I didn’t want it to end! I love the graphics and the characters, the attention to detail is absolutely incredible, there really isn’t another game like this but I truly wish there was. The puzzles are challenging at times but not too challenging to where you get frustrated and give up, I know we have all been there lol. And that’s a big reason I like it so much, I like to think and solve puzzles throughout a game but I hate when they make it way too difficult and you have to watch a walk through or something or quit playing it completely. The narrator’s voice through out the game/story is awesome too, very calming and perfect for the game. Highly recommend!

  • Fabulous game with beautiful message

Could not stress enough, with the level of detail and care in this game really shines when playing it. The art? Immaculate. The story? Moving. The adventure? So much fun. The characters? Memorable. The puzzles? Challenging but not impossible. The meaning? Beautiful.

It is a beautiful game through and through. The forlorn souls’ stories are both heartbreaking and touching. Our little character is brave, caring, and I feel as though it is my little child haha. I love the interactions throughout the game and travels we make. It made it hard to leave some characters behind, but the story pushed on and it was so lovely to go on with Ember’s spirit. The few journal entrees felt rewarding, and ugh, such a solid game.

The ending was honestly perfect for the game and I found myself missing it while I knew it was ending. When it finally ended, it was satisfying and I’ll definitely miss the little Ember. The message of this game is incredibly touching; with finding (and accepting) your purpose without regret from the past. It was an unexpected game that turned out to be a total 11/10.

p.s if you get stuck on any puzzles, there’s walkthroughs of them online! it’s ok to find the solution. No need to get frustrated (I had to look up a few haha) 🩷

  • AMAZING SO CUTE

I loved this game so much! It was such a cute adventure game with puzzles and all. I was just browsing the app store for something different with some puzzles and did not expect a whole masterpiece!!! Im so glad I stumbled upon this, it’s simple but has so much to explore and do. I ended up playing this in 2 days because I just couldn’t stop lol! I will definitely play again and again. I have no complaints.

I did see another review that said the boat controls were confusing which is true. But, I got used to it after a bit of sailing. I LOVED being able to create my boat it was such a cute surprise and mine came out so perfect lol!

I’m just shocked at how cute and amazing this game was. The ending made me shed a tear. I never write game reviews like at ALL but I had to for this game. 10/10 <3

  • One of the best mobile games I’ve played

This game has great puzzles, a wonderful story, and great mechanics. It’s easy to move around and interact with the environment, which also happens to be beautiful and interesting. I feel like it does a great job helping you in the right direction if you’re feeling lost. It adds fun new mechanics throughout the game. The story is bittersweet and sometimes a little heartbreaking, but also comforting and mostly I think it’s relatable. “Not everything is a puzzle to solve” or something close to that is one of the lines that’s stuck with me. My only complaint is that I beat it and want to keep going! It’s a fairly long game as well, especially for a mobile game. Highly recommend if you enjoy puzzle games, chill games, and/or good heartwarming but also melancholy and bittersweet stories.

  • “They” is not a singular pronoun.

I have to break a bit from the embarrassing, “Stunning and Brave(TM)” reviews this game is getting and note two things. First, the dogmatic avoidance of correct, singular personal pronouns (which are male or female) is jarring. Ember is not Legion, as far as I can tell, so it makes no sense to refer to him or her as “they.” Standard woke nonsense. Secondly, this game does not “help” anyone. Real help for depression is delivered through real actual human relationships in the real world, which take real work and effort, not by fetching little flames from physics puzzles. The game *gives the sense* of helping others and in doing so causes a release of dopamine in the brain, which can be confused with the same feeling you get from being decent to a fellow person. In fact, the player has just moved some (very) aesthetically pleasing polygons around. A good game nonetheless with intuitive controls, nice artwork and a captivating soundtrack.

  • My new favorite app-game

When it comes to games, I’m very particular on what I like. Is it captivating? Challenging? Tells a story? Interactive? Relatively good looking? Well, I was blown away by just how well this game checked off all of my gaming preferences.

Graphics and mechanics of this game are amazing (I had to keep reminding myself that this is an app and not a console game)! There was a slight problem with the boat mechanics for a while, but you learn it in time. The story telling (and overall theme of this game) is one to remember and touches on important life lessons. Each puzzle made me think and motivated me to keep going. And this game captivated me so much that I played it in one sitting, 6 hours straight!

I 100% would recommend others to play this game if they can.

  • Amazing game, one problem

I’m going to get into how amazing the storyline and puzzles of this game are, because that would take forever and has already been said about a million times in the other reviews. I will say, though, that as someone with far too much free time and spends it all on video games, I was very pleasantly surprised by how long this game is. Most games claim to be long but only take me a few hours to complete. This one took me almost a day. As for the one problem I mentioned, that would be the boat mechanics. The boat is really difficult to control and it isn’t explained how to use it very well. It just say “drag your finger backwards to move forwards” (or something like that), but actually you have to turn the boat, which is not explained at all. It would easier if the boat just follows wherever you drag your finger, or something like that. Besides that, this is a great game and I so highly recommend it. Hope everyone is having a great day! :)

  • Beyond Brilliant with One TINY Flaw

This game was incredible. The art style, the voice acting, the story and the music were all amazing. The puzzles were creative, with just the right amount of challenge to them. I am truly impressed. The one flaw I found does not pertain to the game entirely but to the device I played it on. I’m sure if I had on the Switch it wouldn’t have been an issue. The boat. Controlling it on the touch screen was difficult. Perhaps just have the boat work with the follow the finger mechanics instead. Trying to control the direction while swiping backwards felt very clumsy and I ended up stuck in corners enough that it became frustrating. With the white indicator showing the direction I’m meant to go in being replaced with the blue one showing the direction I’m actually going in made it all the more confusing. That, however, is literally my ONLY complaint for this one.

  • Absolutely astounding!

This game made me cry! It had such a strong emotional awareness and provided a strong connection with me (the player) and the storyline. Everything was beautiful. The graphics, design, sound effects and voicing. This game was truly amazing and I really enjoyed playing it.
It provides such an individual connection between Ember (the main character) and the player, yet is so universal anyone can create those connections. I loved the puzzles and not one moment did I find myself bored or annoyed.
Not to negate the pure value of this game but there were a couple of bugs in the game while steering the boat. (Getting stuck or the graphics glitching) other than that I have no complaints.
As a 15 year old female I can only say that this game helped me in a lot of ways, not just mentally. It truly helped me find peace with some of the aspects in my life.
I applaud the many who worked on this game to make it where it is! And the fact that it is on Apple Arcade makes it extremely accessible. I began thinking the game was going to be cute and short only to find it was a beautiful storyline game! Now it’s over and I wish there was more!
    I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS GAME!

  • Amazing game!!!

To say thet this game is amazing would be a rediculous understatment. This game effortlessly walks you though a beautiful story of helping others who are lost. Or so I thought. This game guides you into making choices and deciding is you are going to help others or finish your own path. Everytime i chose to help others (obviously for gaming purpose) But to my surprise you can't help save everyone. The creaters of this game put in a lovely (and very true) aspect. That is " You can't help those who don't want it, even if the desperatly need it. Some find comfort in what they are feeling and aren't ready to be saved." This game beautifuly pulls REAL LIFE problems and emotions into the game.
