You have to pay

You gotta subscribe to start the timer. If u wanna pay th en it might be nice, all im saying is that its a bit stupid that the app itself is free to download but immediately requires you to pay for it to function. Like at least explicitly state that ur timer requires a paid subscription.

I’ve been looking for an app this good for a few years

Simple UI, powerful tool. Does exactly what I needed. No more. No less.

Thank you! 😊

Nag nag nag

Had this app for a few years but not used it much for a little while.

Open the up a few days ago and now every day around three times a day notifications are nagging me to use the app.

When I go into the settings, there’s no option to turn these nag notifications off. This is making me feel like deleting the app.

I only want notifications when using the and shouldn’t be pestered like this. Sick of companies forcing their noise on us.

Hi, I'm a little confused about what you're referring to. Our app offers a single Focus Reminder at the start of your workday that reminds you to start your first session - that's it. You can turn this option off completely in the Focus settings > Focus Reminders. So, no notification nagging here, as I agree that apps shouldn't do that. I'm wondering: did you confuse Focus with another app? Best wishes, Kerstin

Helpful.

I feel like it is difficult to use focus as the reminders aren’t that strong and it is easy to not listen to them, but it has helped me with my productivity and I think it is a great app to have!!

Hi Melisa, thank you for your kind review!  I've noted your request for more prominent reminders as a feature, and I hope we can enhance Focus in this regard. Thank you for sharing your feedback! Best wishes, Kerstin

Skip this one, so expensive

You'll go through a lot of onboarding steps just to realize you can't do anything with this unless you pay them, and there's far less expensive Pomodoro timers out there. I don't know why why these companies want to subscription everybody to death.

Expensive

This is far too expensive. Why can’t it just be a one-time purchase for the basic features? I’m not paying a subscription for something I can just do with the clock app??

Response from developer

Focus is a time management app with to-do lists, a Pomodoro timer, and time tracking - features you won't find in the clock app. If the app helps you stay focused and become more productive, we believe its value easily justifies the cost. You can try it out for free to see if it meets your needs! Lastly, we're actively improving and regularly updating Focus. We fund this development through subscriptions and couldn't maintain the app with one-time purchases. I hope you understand. Best wishes, Kerstin

Raving review of the most excellent app!

You’ll find no better staying focused app out there. You can start on your iPhone and finish on your Apple Watch or MacBook.

You can add tasks and track time focused and breaks taken. You’ll love how easy it is and how much you’ll get out of it.

Very good pomodoro app

This app is a great pomodoro timer. It’s got just enough features to be useful, but not so many that it becomes bloated and over complicated.

The widgets are perfect, especially in StandBy mode and the fact that it syncs across all of my devices is amazing. Support for Shortcuts means you can make some powerful automations too. Love this app

Rip through tasks

Focus App is incredibly effective for me. Whenever I really need to get through something - especially something unappealing - Focus is the way. Works every time.

Please disable the touching of the screen to change the time

Every time I open this app and touch the screen it turns into a nightmare of trying to undo the change to the time which I never wanted to change. Please just delete that feature, does anyone ever use that? Also, the reminders don’t work nearly as well as a dumb alarm with a snooze on the watch. That’s not the dealbreaker, but the reminders are highly ineffective. The real dealbreaker is the cursed hypersensitive timer change thing. Ugh.
