Getting me through high school
Mostly solid but Watch app could do with some love
1. The ability to easily set different focus lengths. Some times you need 25 minutes focus to get started, but once you are up and rolling it would be nice to easily move this up to, say, 45 minutes.
2. A Watch app that actually works. There are way too many times where the app just sits there and finally closes. And this is on a newer version Apple Watch.

Hi, the Apple Watch app got some love: we've just shipped an update featuring a new and redesigned Apple Watch app for Focus. I hope you'll like the new version! Best, - Jan ___________ Changing the session length more easily is a good idea, we will look into it. Regarding the Watch app: make sure it finishes the loading process once (during that time the screen must be turned on otherwise it will start from the beginning again; you can rotate the digital crown to achieve that). Once it has finished loading, the launch and response time should be much quicker afterwards. If that does not work, please get in touch: hello@meaningful-things.com Best, Jan.
Best pomodoro timer
The best pomodoro app
Subscription for this?
If you want to get into subscription model be creative and make a product that warrants that, a timer app will never do that.
No notifications!
If they fix this notifications thing, it will be awesome!
Great App, Just Needs Reminders Integration
As it is, I have to manually move tasks over to this app from apple reminders app and then check the task off of each app separately.
Some syncing would be nice, take a look at fantastical ;)
A must for any creative person
Dodgy Subscription Signup, not good enough
1. There is no notice, no information, nothing about your switch to subscription.
2. No information for existing users
3. No information about pricing when starting the app, and so on.
4. No information on pricing in the app itself
The app blindsides the user, giving you no option but to engage the ‘Pro’ subscription. It does not adequately explain what is happening. This amounts to automatically enrolling a user, which is blatantly against the terms and conditions of the App Store. Whether you are or not, it looks like you are hiding the pricing. Whether you are or not, it looks like you are treating users as if they are stupid.
Having been a happy user of this app for a couple of years, I would have been happy to evaluate the subscription on its merits. Because I had to go out of my way to look into the pricing, which is not even obvious on the website. it now looks way overpriced. $4 a month is comparable to some premium apps. But as I say, if I had not been blind-sided by the automatic subscription I might have been inclined to look at it differently.
I don’t begrudge developers like yourselves the means to support yourselves and develop your app. Just don’t treat users like idiots and you might get more support.
Please think about sorting out your welcome process, make the pricing obvious and clear.

We're still waiting for your update ;-) //Original response: Hi, Thanks for this review and sorry that you feel misinformed about our new Pro subscription. Let me answer point by point, so there is no confusion: 1. We informed our users over Twitter and our Newsletter about the upcoming move to subscription in advance. 2. We have a detailed explanation on our website for what happens when you're an existing customers (www.masterbuilders.io/support -> Note to existing customers). 3. & 4. You can see the pricing within the App when you go to Settings > Subscription or when you tap/click on a Pro button somewhere. A Store view should open where every subscription option is listed with it's price, the subscription duration and the duration of the free trial. No one is enrolled automatically (and we wouldn't even if it were technically possible). If you have questions, please get in touch and I will be happy to walk you through the new features and answer all your questions: hello@masterbuilders.io Thanks, - Jan
