1st time playing on a Spades app
This was a delightful choice...I dont know how I got so lucky......most of the reviews are spot on, especially with reference to the bots, update making the cards smaller and therefore resulting in choosing the wrong card and the ridiculous ADs...cant u do something about that? I play this daily and work around my complaints but really wouldnt mind paying for it if that were an option and you fixed the updateShow lessnessafayeh

For some reason (I did not do it myself), this app was updated. Now the cards are smaller and hard to see and play and it is almost impossible to win a game. Seems as if, no matter what kind of hand I get, we start in the minus range first round! Now I am searching for a more user friendly game of Spades. Except for the fact that ads are now taking up space at the bottom, I don’t understand why Jogatina messed with the game!Show lessCan'tfindaninkname
Terrible update
The last update is terrible. App graphics are slow and don’t move smoothly anymore. Scoring screen isn’t as easy to read as the previous one. The ads are very annoying and out of place. My suggestion is to run an ad upon logging in before the game starts so it’s not so distracting from gameplay. Might be time to find a new spades app to play. The previous release was so much better than this one. I would give the new update zero stars if it were an option. Please fix this.Show lessSme2078
Spades review
As spades go it is fair. The problem that I had with the last version is the same I have with this one...when you’re playing with Bots, they don’t play as a team! Cutting your “partner” out, etc. Also the change in card sizes is terrible! The change needs to be converted back to the last version!!! Try again!Show lessNaima54
Too small!
I really enjoyed playing the previous version of spades until last night! This new version wastes so much space on the playing board. The cards are too small and spaced too close together causing me to touch cards that I do not intend to play, and often losing my bid because of these ‘misplays’.
Why was it necessary to make the playing cards smaller? These was plenty of room on the playing surface, but this new configuration is awful. Sadly, i will not return to this game until I see that the cards are returned to a larger format. It truly was one of my favorite games. I used to play a couple of hours every day. Need new updates to fix your updates!
Recent update made cards smaller, which is hard to see AND even harder to choose a card to play! It’s made me play the wrong card AND goes into the icon area during play. FRUSTRATING is putting it lightly!
Also, need to have some way to limit the language some people decide to use in the chat. Some people are extremely hateful and vulgar...all because they can hide behind a keyboard. Wish this game could find a way to kick them out when they choose ugly language towards others. No reason for it! It’s just a game!!!Show less2cute4u2
Annoying ads and suspect AI
Used to love this game, but two things have turned me off lately:
1) The ads are obscene. I understand it’s freeware and they need to make money, totally fine with watching an ad. But lately the ads use all sorts of tricks like hiding the “X” in weird spots or delaying the appearance by 5+ seconds. Also, many ads display a second screen even after closing them out. It’s beyond obnoxious.
2) The bot AI makes questionable decisions. My biggest annoyance is when my bot partner takes a bag for no good reason, usually by trumping with a spade for no reason at all (no chance to trap the other team or gain some other advantage). I’ve also seen bots bid nil when they have a single high face card of some suit (ie the queen of diamonds). Just not a smart play, especially when the game is close and our backs are not against the wall.
I would pay money for a solid spades game. But the obnoxious ads and suspect AI make me want to uninstall this.Show lessDownload this with an open mind
Spades at its best against the computer or other people
This is Spades at its best against the computer or other people. I prefer to play against the computer where I can choose the level of difficulty and come and go as I please. However, I also like the option to be linked with three other users to play a game together. I especially like the time limit for play so you aren't waiting forever for players who are no longer there. I can't think of a way to make this game better, high praise.Show lessDernh3lm
Awesome game
The game is user friendly but the partner under bids continuously so I I just over bid by 1 and it usually works out but very tricky. He also is hard to play nil with. Only go nil if you are confident. He will throw low right when he should throw high and catch you with a trick then turn around and throw a higher one that would have saved you. I would have no problem paying for this game if I could choose or have a better partner and less or no ads.Show lessSaFiRe_K
Computer bids
When playing the computer continually underbids. My computer partner will bid 1 or 2 then take 3 or 4 tricks. Easy to see the computer had the cards to bid higher. Impossible to win. Frustrating. Adding to this, the computer just trumped in on the first play with a 2 knowing he had a queen and king of trump along with other trumps left to play. And the bid was 1. I don't understand the computer bids.Show lesslikeflynn
