Mostly Good
While the vast majority of my experiences have been perfect, there has been the time or two when I requested a taxi, waved at it from across the street, and have been left alone.
Use at your own risk
Does it work and get you a cab, yes. But what it fails to do is actually locate you or assist you with where you are. For example. I’m in Pohang, and I’m trying to get somewhere, i confirm the location it has me set in, but it doesn’t tell you the direction you’re looking until after the cab is called for. It had me on the opposite side of the street from which my driver stopped. It also must not alert or translate to the driver. When i noticed the issue, i immediately informed the driver that we needed to cross the street. Over 18,000 won later, and the driver leaves because we didn’t get in his car in under 30 seconds of his arrival. We recalibrate the app and submit the request again. Same results. I even ran down the street in front of our drivers car to stop him and he just continued. Now I’m down over 36,000 won and still have to request yet another 18,000 won cab. This time we do it from a location that is undeniably where we are located. We still had to race to where the app moved us to in order to make the cab on time.
I wouldn’t write if it only happened this one time, but this happened on different shorter trips I’ve taken as well.

Reservations broken when phone language is English
The reservation feature doesn’t work correctly when the phone language is set to English. All of the buttons and text just appear as “Later” and many of the buttons do not function (do nothing when tapped). If English is not supported, it would be better to show Korean rather than break in this way. Before the last update it worked just fine. Now, it’s impossible to know which button is “cancel” unless you remember from the old version of the app. For a company the size if Kakao, this is a major quality assurance failure! I use KakaoT often and spend a lot if money in the app… please fix this!

Getting crappier
Too many adverts and often finds zero taxis for 20mins even when you can easily hail one on the street.
I cannot stress how terrible this app is.
Setting up an account is ridiculously long and complex - and you have to effectively do the process twice because they require you to use to separate apps to even get a taxi. I’m already on hour two of trying to set it up without success.
Incredibly frustrating user experience
As an American visiting Korea, it is impossible for me to create an account. No matter what email address I try to use it always says “suspicious activity detected” and it kicks me out every time.
I’m using a local eSIM so I can’t use my American phone number either, I don’t have phone service, just data.
This is incredibly frustrating as a tourist. If I could rate it less than 1 star I would.

Foreign Card Payment doesn’t work
Adding foreign card payment method on iPhone errors with pop ups disabled (when they are already enabled on safari). PayPal only works for bikes.
Contrary to what is somewhat advertised, I was able to get an Uber in South Korea. I would rather use Kakao but unable to.

Terrible app
One of the worst apps ever. If South Korea allowed competition Uber would come in and destroy these guys. Avoid!

I’m coming to Korea as a tourist and was recommended this app. Downloaded, signed up, and got suspended instantly saying I’ve done too many requests from multiple devices.
I’ve only just downloaded the app, it is not possible.
There’s no way to log out, no way to create a new account, worst of all, NO WAY to contact customer service to fix it.
What a great way to start my trip. 🇰🇷👎

Navigation directions for driver are unreliable
Navigation directions sometimes seem pretty off. On our most recent ride the driver took a strange route that he blamed on the directions from the app that ended up costing twice as much as the estimates cost. In contrast the driving directions from Kakao map showed a much more straightforward and shorter route.
