It’s permanently frozen

Crash mode. Uninstalling it.

This app is terrible. I’m sticking with it only because I approve of the research and want to have a go at TIme-Restricted Eating. It crashes, is slow, doesn’t record input data, records incorrectly, and is generally hard to use and glitchy. I deleted it and re-started
as directed, but it makes no difference.
I hope the researchers will devote some time to improving things

Has Potential

I struggle to use this app. It's very slow and often freezes not allowing the camera feature or other logging features to work. Its slowness doesn't allow me to log my food in the moment. Overall taking pictures of my food has been the challenge because of the app crashing or not having an easy way to open the camera feature which works unreliably. More recently since the recent update, the app only allows me to log my food without taking a picture. After I save my food or beverage, the camera activates and I take a picture of my food that I just logged but it is not clear to me if the app is double logging my food or not or if this is the new way to log food in the recently updated app! Very frustrating. I will continue to use the app because I believe there is value in this study. I am a firm believer in healthy lifestyle choices and aim to fine tune my efforts to fast by using the feedback (although not accurate) logged here. I already eat quite healthy. I just want a record of my habits in one app. I know it's not 100% accurate, but for my needs at this time, this app seems to be the best choice. I hope the developers continue to improve the app. It has so much potential.

Great research, App needs a lot of work

The research is great. The book is great. The app is abysmal. It takes ages to load and sometimes the data never loads. If you set reminders or eating window it wipes them. When you renter them is suddenly remembers the original ones again & you get 5 reminders being sent at one time. A lot of elements don’t work at all. I’ve contacted the developers who have suggested I delete it and download it again. Sort of works (for a day) then back to it being awful again. I’ve kept up with it for the research sake but it need WORK WORK WORK. Please pay real app developers to make this app as it has real potential.

Really wished it worked

App is so not user friendly. Hard to input data.

Great idea poor app

Iv been struggling with the app for 4 weeks. It crashes daily and takes ages to load. I have found it frustrating to use not easy at all. I have used other similar apps and this is the worst one I've tried. I'm going to delete it

I drudgingly completed the 15 weeks but

So I loved the idea of this ap like everyone else. I did notice if I tracked my timing I kept the eating intervals quit consistent. But since the app was so slow, I never took pictures, ever; I just typed my food/bev and that was the extent. I didnt bother logging water intake. I logged exercise and eating times pretty much. It doesn’t let you go back 2 + hours so if you forget to log your out of luck and then it’s just not accurate. Great research but the app is terrible which I think will contribute to bad-incorrect-inaccurate data for his study.

Issues

I find the work that Dr. Panda is doing incredibly interesting and very valuable. I was thrilled to find out that I could contribute to the research effort around sleep, nutrition, and circadian rhythms. However this app is lacking some essential functionality. For me, it doesn’t seem like the (+) button even works to be able to add any exercise or sleep. I can only take a picture and log as food/beverage/water. Hopefully further updates will increase the ease of use! I’m looking forward to using this app in the coming weeks :)

Frustratingly bad

I hate deleting this app before the 14 weeks they want for their data, but it’s SO hard to use! The lag makes it hard to take photos & record sleep or activity. The ability to edit data is CRAP. E.g. when I wake up & try to record my sleep for the night, I’ll often press the wrong button *because I just woke up!!*. But then I can’t correct it because it won’t let you change sleep satisfaction after you make an entry. Also the way it tracks a night’s sleep between days makes NO sense!!! I don’t like leaving a study in the middle of things, but I couldn’t supply accurate data.

Can’t get it to work

I tried to start this morning, but the main + button doesn’t work, so I can’t add anything other than pictures. I can’t find a place to ask for help either. Disappointed as I was so excited for this! I hope someone sees this and can assist.
