I have a good selection of Energenie products and they all work well. Occasionally latency will creep in and it can take up to 20 seconds to react to a voice command from Alexa. It has a lot of useful features for automation. The app and the online portal could do with a little tweaking but other than that I am very happy. The app does take a little time to get use to but I have found that the technical support is fast and excellent.Show lessHedgehog Moo

Absolute waste of money and time
Do not buy anything Energenie. The heating system does not do as advertised and despite spending almost a year advising the company on the issues with their system it still does not work.
The thermostats cannot work independently of the boiler so are completely pointless. I’ve spent over £500 on their system and I’d be better off with normal rad stats. Customer services are a joke and they do not have service engineers or any idea how to make their own system work. Jokers.Show lessBIngumarlon
Good system but could be better
I have installed a gateway and door sensors to my apartment, it was very easy to set up but I don’t understand why the sensor names are not included in the alert message in the app, you have to go into the app to find out which sensor was operated. Is this something that can be modified in the app?pjackso4

App Crashing
What have your tech guy's done do they not test updates before releasing them, where is your company's change control. App no longer works at all cannot load. Although it was buggy before at least you could access it.

No longer works.
No issues until this morning. Following the latest update the app no longer launches - just immediately quits.

I would not bother with this brand in future. The only reason I do is because I have to as I live with my parents, otherwise I would have binned the lot a long time ago. Absolutely awful hardware and software; Hardware is Slow & unreliable & it’s incredibly buggy within the app.Alvarez_22
Things are getting better
I’ve been using Energenie sockets and radiator valves (eTRV) for over a year and have seen things getting better over time. My only complaints are 1. Fitting the eTRV. I’ve fitted 7 to my radiators and had trouble with a couple of them falling off as it’s difficult to gauge how tight to screw them to the valve. The plastic lugs just pop out and the eTRV pushes off! 2. When power comes ON after a power cut the appliance remains off, which is not good!Show lessHassy1
