Exasperating

Great machine, beautifully packaged, but a nightmare to set up. You have to download and print a 14 page manual at your expense, then try to find what you need. There is no quick setup guide, except for a tiny one that has vague little icons that are as much help as hieroglyphics. I think that for an expensive machine, a proper printed manual that is clear and leaves nothing to the imagination is not too much to ask.

Hi. Thanks for providing feedback. Our user manuals are now paperless. These can be found online, or through the MyDyson App and can be viewed by visiting the Dyson website. The inbox material would have contained a QR code, when scanned by your mobile device would have brought up a manual and directed you to online help to get started. My 3rd Robot

Initially brilliant, but again today it won’t work. Most frustrating product I know. Goes from one extreme to the other. Also Dyson aim is to get you to the two year out of guarantee point. Every new robot all they do is to keep the guarantee to the original purchase date! Even though the product is currently not fit for purpose. I have now had 3 Robots. All I want is for the product to work every day and be reliable!

Spent three phone calls with Dyson. Phone call one- did a phone consultation, showed the problem. He had absolutely no idea. After 10 minutes got cut off.

Phoned again- spent another 15 minutes- did the same consultation. Solution was to send the robot back to Dyson. However their technical team was so busy repairing other broken Dyson’s. The Robot would not be collected for 12 days. No replacement vacuum!

Asked to speak to a manager, he phoned, basically saying nothing he could do, takes a minimum of 14 days to repair, as Dyson has so many repairs! Asked to talk to a specialist on the phone, he refused, only repair by post! I had to put the phone down.

Googled the problem, the was 4 u tube videos, watched all 4. Finding a solution to get it working! All working now! Not the Dyson service which Sir Dyson made his name on- very Disappointed in what is a very expensive premium product.

Improvements needed

My air purifier went into the purple zone the other day, didn’t really tell me what’s, I would like to see more information on what’s it’s sensing (mold, whatever the case may be)

If you notice your Dyson purifier displaying a 999 Severe reading, which shows as Purple, and there’s no obvious source of pollutants within your indoor environment that could be causing this, the reading is likely to be due to a blockage in the machine’s sensor port(s). Clearing the sensor ports of any dust, fluff or debris is quick and easy Further instructions on cleaning your Dyson purifier can be found in your User guide, as well as within the MyDyson™ app under 'Using your machine' and then choosing 'Cleaning your machine'. If this reading is still showing after cleaning the sensor and the machine, we’d suggest following the information in the 'Power Cycling/Restarting' your machine article.
