Easy to use

We used this service 4 years ago to activate Lidl Connect cards. Now, we have to do it again and it is even easier to use! So great that there is help available in English. Thank you for that!

Disconnect frequently and ridiculous question

I just tried 20 times to authenticate a SIM card. It only established successful connection twice. At the first time the procedure is nearly finished, but cut off at the end. At the second time a man asked me rudely why I try 19 times and accused my English the hung off?

Doesn’t recognize US passport hologram easily

I tried using this app yesterday with my 88 year old mother and received an email back a few hours later indicating it could not recognize the hologram.

Last year I used it and it worked great, this year seems not as good or more sensitive.

I understand the need for high security, but I would suggest the following:

1) Immediate feedback if hologram quality isn’t good enough. That way we can immediately retake the picture/video. If this part doesn’t require a human to check it should be possible.

2) If the proof-of-life (ie selfie with head movement) is ok, allow for only the document/hologram part to be resubmitted rather than go through the whole procedure again.

These 2 points are because a lot of elderly persons need assistance when using the app so immediate feedback or just redoing a part of the procedure would help make it easier.

We will be completing now via snail mail.

Doesn’t capture the hologram in passport

Never captures the holographic symbols on French passport. We tried it last year, and again this year for a total of 6 (six) times!!!! Finally gave up and went to a notary instead. The idea is good (if only it would work)

Hologram feature not working properly

The app properly only works for European passports. All lights on but cannot see anything.

Inability to use app

Good morning

I have been trying to use the scan method, which would be very convenient, but it is not letting me. I try and scan the code but have a notice that says information is missing. I try to enter manually but I have no 12 digit assigned to my mom’s code. There is an 8 digit number at the top of her document And another set of numbers at the top left corner, but it is a 17 digit set of numbers and letters

Zero stars if possible

Absolutely useless and the most pathetic excuse for an app that I have ever encountered. The website does not offer helpful instructions and trying to use any of the links and FAQs results in and endless loop of frustration and utter confusion. Shame on you. When you make an app for seniors to use to submit their digital proof of life, use some common sense. Make it easy, not frustrate them to the point that you raise their blood pressure. I hope karma visits you often.

Scanning the QR code on the letter to provide proof of life must not be done with the Postident app. Scan the code on the letter with a standard QR code scanner (own app/integrated camera function). You will then receive a 12-digit transaction number on the website, which you can copy into the Postident app. Your POSTIDENT team.

Was not able to satisfy the requirements of proof of life with this app.

Terribly disappointed and frustrated with our experience using this app. Tried 3 separate times (twice using an iPhone 12 Pro and once with an iPhone 15 pro) received an email notification that the hologram on the passport was not clear enough and to try again with better light conditions…so we did it again outside in the middle of the afternoon and got the same response….. NOT happy with this process.

Useless

The app did work but all submissions with a valid drivers license or a US passport failed. both with security features. Enormous waste of time. Worked last year and now terribly worthless. Tried multiple times. Finally had to give up. Whatever has been done… pls fix.

US passport for German pension

We tried 9 times and still not success !
Person is 95 years old and feeling so lost and bad with apps
The message always come up as following

The holograms and security features on your document are not recognisable well enough.
Please try again and follow the instructions in the app. In particular, please make sure that your identification document is tilted correctly and that you habe good lightning conditions.

Please advise what’s to do ???
So bad and we really upset with applications

Our security requirements are very high, which is why POSTIDENT employees have to check details in the identification documents and the quality of the recordings must be good.
