I usually don’t write reviews but I really had to for this one. I was extremely stressed due to technical difficulties with the app right before an upcoming appointment. But Derek M. stepped in and turned it all around. He was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. He made what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth, easy process. If more people were like Derek, the world would be a much better place. Five stars!

Extremely Disappointed with Accolade / Blueshield integration
Changed from a PPO to an HMO at the start of 2026. Absolutley did NOT realize it was a “virtual” service. No mention on the forms or web sites about this little detail.
This has been, catagorically, the most frustrating health care service ordeal I have ever gone through in my life - and I have been with BlueShield for decades through various companies.
Now that I am retired, but not yet ready for medicare (should it survive) and have to go through the abject mess that is “Covered California”, I have a BlueShield account but was assigned Accolade Care as my service provider. But Plushcare shows up on my billing. No, not confusing AT ALL.
Don’t get me started on the rediculous multiple stage sign on proceedure.
And my messages to the doctors staff are not through BlueShield’s email system, but Accolades’. But the monthy bill comes from BlueShield.
And I get to have a different doctor for each visit? Or not? But my primary doctor listed on my profile will not accept my requests for visits because she does not take HMO members.
Seriously, What an unmitigated & hellishly confused mess this is.
I CAN’T WAIT to ditch this comically labeled “health plan” and go back to a PPO (or Kaiser!) where I can actually talk to a doctor’s staff by calling their office on a phone and seeing a doctor IN PERSON.
Because touching yourself while on a zoom call with a doctor 1,800 miles away, and sticking your tongue out to the iPad’s camera…….that’s just second rate service.
Have some self respect, don’t do that to yourself.

This app is very glitchy
Too many things do not function on this app. Constantly have issues with the messages to the health coach. I got stuck being forced to enter vitals in the pre appointment questionnaire. The number button blocked my ability to move forward. There’s more Fix this piece of junk.
Best Doctor Ever
I have Covered Calif Blueshield. Blueshield offers Accolade for online visits and a primary care doctor. I met a Dr. Purnima Rao and she is fabulous. She is detailed, thorough in her questions and and problem solving, very knowledgeable and caring. She takes time and doesn’t rush you through your appointment. I am very pleased with my experience as you will be too. If you can choose your doctor , may I suggest Dr.Rao , you will be pleasantly pleased.

Everytime I try to log in it will open and then immediately crashes and closes me out of the app. I have the latest update and this has been going on for over 2 months

This app is atrocious, it has non stop issues- you can’t view messages or set up follow ups- it’s a mess. If you call them they just put you in a survey and hang up- truly terrible and useless

I deleted the app, reinstalled, and it seems to work fine now. This type of thing seems to happen often, and perhaps whenever they update their app.

I literally cannot even log in without this app crashing! I have the latest version as of 12/30/2025 and as soon as I try and sign in, it looks like it does the Face ID thing 2x, then looks like it’s signing in, then CRASHES/QUITS! Every single time! Making me late to my Dr. Apt!

Great thorough doctor. Better than in person care
He was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable about medications. He covered all bases and I would rather see him than in person doctor
Primary Doctor Visit
Such a great in depth discussion with my new doctor. She took the time to understand what I needed and answered my questions with great thought and caring.
Bug ridden app
This app is a mess. Forces you to login twice each time you open it. Forces you to authenticate twice. Forces you to re-submit a pin every single time you log in. Does not communicate with their website which they force you to use to perform functions that the app lacks for whatever reason. Really poor user experience.

Can’t Bill Correctly
They have constant issues with billing. They bill the wrong amount and can’t figure out what my insurance is even though it is directly linked from my insurance website.
Doctors on Accolade
I just want to say how comfortable I am using this program. I’m not very tech savvy but this program is simple to use. And the doctors are wonderful and attentive.
