Cancellation
I would never ever recommend Vector Security. My 84 year old Mom has been trying to cancel her service for two weeks. Their customer service is horrible. They are not helpful, not clear with their cancellation policies AND RUDE. Technical support hung up on her when she became frustrated and expressed her frustration to him. After what seems like many phone calls and hours on the phone on hold we still have not gotten it turned off. RUN as fast as you can from Vector Securities.

Help
Help, when clicked, spins in the app and provides no documentation to assist the end user. Not very useful.
Video doorbell
I was sold a video doorbell by ADS that their own serviceman admitted was known not to work and it doesn’t, despite numerous attempts to have it fixed.

I will get my security system bill caught back up. The batteries in the front door are gone down. So the system is malfunctioning. I tried telling her that and she still didn’t want to help me. So on top of having health issue stress I also have stress not having the security system working correctly.

No biometrics available
For some reason as yet unexplained the app creators removed any helpful uses of biometrics in this app making it slow and unwieldy. Rating 1 star because there are no 0 options.

I cant even give you one star since ADS changed to Vector I have had terrible service. My alarm was going off at 1:30 am this morning woke my husband up. It said glass break didn’t see anything suspicious so went back to sleep. Did not receive a call from Vector Security who i pay good money every month until 7:30am what a joke.

For some reason as yet unexplained the app creators removed any helpful uses of biometrics in this app making it slow and unwieldy. By the way having an invasive, privacy busting Alexa take over your smart device is not a suitable replacement. Rating 1 star because there are no 0 options.
Unreliable
Cameras go off line all the time.
Customer service
After being transferred 5 times to report my system beeping and saying low battery 12 living. I was first told they couldn’t help me till 12-1 pm the next day. So I am supposed to listen to constant beeping till then. After that was told there was a cancellation and a rep would be out between 9am and 1pm today. The calls went in Vector and they couldn’t see my account as it just changed from ADS. The reps not all of them but 2 let me know it wasn’t their issue and basically didn’t care then told me to “have a blessed day”
When someone lets me know they aren’t doing anything to help and says “have a blessed day “ it comes out as condescending and insulting. They definitely didn’t say “I am sorry you are having an issue “ your customer service needs work. Doesn’t sound like you value me as a customer.

Hard to update
Got two new phones—have wasted an HOUR trying to log in. App name is ADS Aniware, but not the website. So you can’t load your password, wind up having to change it. Wait hours for an email (text opens in window that won’t work)and try to change it. Then do for every user. Even when you’re in, people have left before you can get the damned “interactive” doorbell up. Crappy app. Wish it actually worked as promised.

Slowest system ever
Very disappointed with this app. Super slow. Makes me want to terminate my contract.
Stop asking me
EVERY time I open the app it asks me if I want to “opt in” to receiving marketing info and I have to DE-SELECT it before using the app.
AFTER I HAVE TOLD YOU “NO” THE FIRST TIME —-QUIT BUGGING ME ABOUT IT EVERY TIME!!!!!! Who programmed this app - a 3rd grader?

Trying to jam ads on paying customers
The app was great until they added the marketing opt in screen EVERY time I log in. That is only needed once!! Made the experience using the app worse.

Slowest app ever
This is literally the slowest app I’ve ever had. It’s 2023, why does it feel like this app runs off dial up or something from the 90s.
ADS APP
App is horrible, takes forever to pull up constantly have to close and go back in. Takes anywhere from 5-15 minutes to get into a location just to clear a alarm
