They send the wrong parts all the time.
I have to say I’m extremely disappointed with Advance Auto Parts. This is now the third time I’ve received the wrong part after ordering from them. What’s even more frustrating is that these weren’t just small mistakes—the parts were for completely different vehicles.
Most recently, I ordered a Fel-Pro head gasket set for my 2002 MINI Cooper Base, and instead I was sent a Chrysler engine gasket set. This wasn’t even close to what I ordered. When you’re in the middle of an engine rebuild, getting the wrong parts can bring the entire project to a halt, waste hours of your time, and potentially cost you more money.
Mistakes happen, but after the third incorrect order, it’s no longer an isolated incident—it’s a pattern. Ordering parts from Advance Auto has become a gamble, and that’s not acceptable when customers depend on getting the correct components to complete repairs.
I hope Advance Auto improves its quality control and order verification process because this level of accuracy is simply not good enough. Until then, I can’t recommend ordering parts from them based on my experience.
