Secure system but a big faff.
I booked through Booking.com and was told to use the App. I found it difficult to use.
I still had to go to reception for a key card to make the room lights work so the App was pretty much redundant.
I doubt that I will use it again.

why do i need to download an app to check into a hostel.

Ich musste circa 20 Versuche starten, mich einzuloggen, bevor es endlich funktioniert hat. Vorher kriege ich immer die Meldung es sei ein Fehler aufgetreten. Das darf bei einer App, die ein Zimmerschlüssel ist nicht passieren.
