A little triumph!
I think saying too much about *why* this game is incredible (which it is!) defeats the purpose of what the creator intended for the player to experience upon first play-through. Buy this game, set aside some time to really enjoy it and have fun! Afterplace is one of my favorite games I’ve played in 30+ years of gaming. Thank you!

Quando comprei Afterplace eu não pesquisei sobre o jogo, imaginava que fosse um bom jogo e apenas isso, e na verdade foi simplesmente uma experiência única, é incrível como um jogo consegue te envolver quando é depositado o carinho e amor no seu desenvolvimento, nesse caso, o mérito vai totalmente para Evan Kice, QUE JOGO INCRÍVEL
Me sinto incomodado por esse jogo não ser popular e reconhecido como ele deveria ser, e ainda mais por não ter jogado antes, enfim, por não ter uma tradução pt-br alguns momentos precisei do tradutor, mas em geral os diálogos são bem fáceis de entender, meu inglês é bem baixo. Um dos melhores indies que ja joguei, merece muito mais reconhecimento :D

Creative, good controls, easy to get lost in
I’ve played like 30 games on the iOS system, this is the first one that controls perfectly, and I really gotten lost in the world.
The graphics and design and everything is just beautiful, it’s so nice to see a real work of art made by a developer who cares about video games and the product.

Perfect game
I had to write a review, I just finished Afterplace and was blown away by how fun it was, I didn’t want it to end, but the fact that it did made it even better. It was so well done, and felt like a revival of old Super Nintendo games but with a fresh face. I can’t wait for the creator to make another one!

Very Underrated + Multiple Endings (My favourite!!)
I don’t usually write reviews, but this game absolutely deserves one. Despite having simple mechanics, this game is incredibly immersive and conveys multiple elaborate endings. You can tell by the quality of gameplay, story-writing, and attention to detail that the developer (Evan Kice) cares a lot about this game. I’m glad I played this game, it’ll remain one of my favourites.

An absolute must play gem
Afterplace surprised me time after time. The game is so well put together, with an enjoyable and memorable story. The lack of map and just getting so lost at first almost drove me mad, but after a while I found I understood the world and suddenly I knew how to get around… and that all added to the charm.

Up there with the best
Once I started playing I couldn’t put it down. I was fully engrossed in the story and exploring this world. If you like Undertale/Deltarune you’ll love this, even though it’s different in many ways. The combat is fun and controls are incredibly intuitive. I love all the characters and even though I finished this two years ago, I still think about it often. The best mobile game i’ve played - heck, it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played period.

Loved this game!
I went into this blind and was blown away by the amount of depth to the game. I legitimately teared up at the end. It’s a really beautiful game and I hope to see more from the developer soon!
Undertale vibes but creativity of its own!
This is a masterpiece of games, I mean a true masterpiece. There is something magical about Afterplace, and that magic is in the fluidness of the game. There is so much to explore and get lost in this game, but you never really feel lost. The game mechanics and story come together in a genius way that no matter what choice you make you progress, whether you know it or not. Multiple endings so replay value remains pretty high. And the character development is wonderful with deep conversations with even the most basic characters. This game was crafted like the great games of an older simpler time where video game developers cared less about the profit and more about the product! I recommend this game to anyone, but especially us retro adventure gamers from the dawn of great adventure games like Chrono Trigger or Zelda.

A pure little gems of a game, with so many twists!
Surprisingly good
Gameplay is very simple, which consists of moving, attacking and dodging. Characters are interesting and story is good. There’s quite a good chunk to explore, too. Would recommend playing with a controller.

This game was well worth its cost. Eccentric, entertaining characters, unusual takes on established tropes, and worlds both whimsical and disturbing… I’m currently on my third play-through, I think.

Worth a try
Just finished the game, enjoyed it a lot. Just note that if you’re going to play without a guide or a visual map, play on landscape orientation instead of portrait as a lot of content would be easily missed; also makes a lot of the boss fights easier.
