Terrible app
App is terrible. It times out half the time. And not able to link to Alexa. For all the money spent on this I expected more
App doesn’t even start
The app fails to load, keeps throwing ‘No internet connection’ and doesn’t load the rest of the app. Tried deleting and reinstalling to no avail. Huge disappointment.
Five star product - no star app
Now buying my third AD3500 but very disappointed in the app. It could be great but it’s not. I will buy the no app model.
This App Got Dumber!
I really wanted to love these air purifiers, which is why I invested in multiple AirDoctor units for my entire home. Unfortunately, the app has become more frustrating over time instead of improving.
The Wi Fi connection is constantly glitchy, devices randomly disconnect, and getting everything back online is a headache. For a premium product that costs this much, I expected a reliable app and regular improvements. Instead, it feels like the software has gone backwards.
After reading the reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only one experiencing these problems. I contacted customer support hoping for a solution, but they weren’t able to resolve the issue.
The air purifiers themselves may work well, but the app seriously lets the whole experience down. If I had known the app would be this unreliable, I honestly would have reconsidered buying so many AirDoctor units. I hope the company starts investing in fixing the software because their customers deserve much better.

Works well, no issues
I don’t understand other reviews. The app works well and gives good information. It was easy to setup and update. I can access my unit wherever in the world I’m at. I’m not a computer geek. This app is a good app with the best product for better air quality. I’ll update if things change.

Worst App I’ve Ever Used
I’m on my second air doctor AD5500i because the first one wouldn’t read temperature, humidity, etc. as it advertised. Their customer service said this was a known issue with the equipment. I just installed the replacement they sent me, and same issue. I’m also now getting “internal server errors” and it’s not reading anything at all. So, now it’s even worse. Who releases apps this terrible, is my real question. Good lord.

Horrible App
Nice filter. But your app is bad. Constantly says “internal error”. Filter information never loads. Just buy the filter, don’t waste your money on the one with the app. App is terrible.
Does App work for anyone?
I wish I would have read here before buying an $1100 purifier. This is nuts that I can’t see any stats or even connect to the device. I also use a BlueAir device and love the ease of the app/device. Bye AirDoctor
Almost useless
There are no values for the air particle count. Just a scale with no information at all. It’ll show a peak in particles, but your guess is as good as mine with what that actually means. The weather part of the app hasn’t loaded since I’ve downloaded the app.
Will not connect to network
I reached out to support and spent quite some time with them to get my AirDoctor to connect which it did not. They said it was an issue with the app or system itself and created a higher level ticket and that someone would reach out. It had been weeks and I have still not heard back. Sad this does not work when it worked before.

CANT CONNECT 5500
Literally just spent 1200 dollars total on the 5500 smart purifier with an extra year supply of filters . I go to download the app and it doesn’t even connect to the app when setting everything up . Definitely a trash App ! What’s the point of spending extra money on the smart purifier if we can’t even use the feature ??? Garbage !

No Air Quality Readings
App paired to my AD3500i but doesn’t provide any details as to indoor air quality. PM2.5 lists “no data available”. I wish I would have known this before spending the additional $200.00 to have this information.
can’t create account
I bought the new AirDoctor 5500 so i could connect to Wifi but the app will not allow me to create an account. I get the message that my country (US ) does not match my zip code .. I have repeatedly taken app off and reinstalled / turned off my phone and changed my zip code since my town has two. Still the
same message.

App Never Works
The app is useless. It always say there is no internet and the app will not open. Even though we clearly have internet.
Useless App
Their app is completely useless. You can’t sign in, says your username isn’t found when you can sign in online your safari. Their customer service line is also useless. You sit on the phone with them for hours, and can’t get help with anything. Nothing works on this app. It’s ridiculous. We pay WAY too much for these machines with app capability to run into this many issues with the app. Do something! You obviously have way more negative reviews than positive ones. When will companies actually start listening to their customers?? Why can’t I sign in?? Why won’t it let me click on anything?? Why does It say I don’t exist when I clearly do?? I’m moving on to another company that cares about their customers.

Doesn’t work
I paid extra to have the connectivity. It shows the device as connected, but when I tap on it to go control it, it is disconnected. The app is also overall extremely buggy and slow. It crashes very often. Also love how when I go to look at the temperature in my room because that’s the only information I can get from it without accessing my purifier, I find it has logged me out of my account.

Keeps glitching and logging me out
Spent over 500 USD; app FAIL
Bought the smart compatible version and despite resetting and redownloading, the data graph will not populate. Reached out to customer service and her suggestion was “are you sure your WiFi is paired?” Bought the more expensive version to see the data. Debating returning the device but the customer also has to pay for the return shipment. Strongly suggest customers look elsewhere especially at this price point.

Unable to connect device to a new WiFi netowk
Working with customer service for 30 + minutes now. I have followed all prompts asked of me and the app will not allow me to access my account without the original network. Even after deleting and re installing. The customer service rep is saying the circumstances that I am describing are not possible. I’ve now asked for the issue to be escalated. For such an expensive product, this is wild to be told you are unable to be helped even with an escalation. The app is flawed in that it is looking for the non existent network and there is no way to access resetting the connections. I look forward to this issue being resolved and would appreciate an outreach!
