Why do we have to search and clip coupons? At Stayer Brothers all you have to do is enter your phone number at Che k out and you automatically get the “digital” coupon discount.

Good, coupons are overly complicated
Good app, pretty straightforward. However I wish you could clip all digital coupons in one click instead of having to individually click each one
Virtual assistant sucks
Your virtual assistant sucks the big toe! I have to literally sit there and fight with her before she will transfer me to speak to a pharmacist. I like the old way a lot better were you just pushed a number to speak to the pharmacist. Change it back!

Annoying unnecessary tech implementation
Short version, don’t bother with this garbage unless you’re poor like me and need to take advantage of their app-only discounts. Let’s talk about how this app negatively affects the customer experience, whether or not you use it.
I have avoided using grocery store apps for a long time and it wasn’t a problem, all discounts/sales were accessible by entering a phone number. But now Alby’s is gatekeeping significant discounts behind this stupid app. Want the extra $3 off a bag of tangerines? No problem, we make it inconvenient for you to save. Just download the app! Ow, you also need to get your phone out and scan the world’s smallest QR code from our shin-height digital price tag to get this discount. It’s almost comical how inconvenient this is, because wait there’s more!
Now fellow shoppers are incentivized to stop their cart, bend/squat to the floor since price tags are often low to the ground (and now REQUIRE a scan), and fumble with the app until they scan the tiny QR code. You can imagine what this does to customer flow.
Last but not least, the app takes some clear inspiration from mobile games, as demonstrated by the point-earning mechanic and over-crowded UI. They desperately want us placing orders for pickup/delivery based on how relentlessly it is shoved in your face. Remember that bag of tangerines? I scanned the QR code and the tangerines were automatically placed in a “shopping cart” for a pickup order. Who programmed this abomination?! I just scanned a QR code inside your store . . . clearly I want to quickly and conveniently grab my groceries. Is the app intended to slow down and frustrate us so we are compelled to go with the delivery/pickup option? That would explain most of these otherwise out-of-touch, anti-customer decisions.
I understand the utility in consolidating data collection to the app. Locking discounts behind the app is one thing. Causing direct and unavoidable inconvenience to ALL shoppers thanks to the QR code scanning and the way it impacts customer flow is completely different, and clearly reflects the priorities of leadership. Looks like the Halloween bag of Dum-Dums is on sale!

Albertsons Pharmacy App buggy and lots of duplication!
Recently, a Vons Pharmacy closed in our town and all the existing prescription data for customers got imported into the nearest Albertsons Pharmacy. The Albertsons Pharmacy app is now showing several duplicate medications, still showing as “active”. So now you have a confusing list of medications and you don’t know which ones to refill because they’re duplicates and showing the same RX number!

Better than most grocery store apps
This app is much better than Fred Meyer’s. The only thing is sometimes the coupons do not go on the register when you’re checking out so sometimes you pay a higher price and I honestly think they do that on purpose. Besides that the function of the app is great. Everything is very easy to access ordering online is simple.
